If you want to avoid Ford denying a powertrain warranty claim, keep it stock. I'm not saying a tuned or otherwise modified vehicle gets denied every time but it is a possibility. A tune could be blamed for nearly every powertrain claim. Other mods that are less likely to get blamed do not do much of anything for power (catback, Intake).
