Hello from TX, I have been inquiring about the rear door expansion issue on a 2026 Ford Explorer ST. I just purchased this ST last month and fixed glass panoramic sunroof started leaking water and dust was comingin the vehicle. I took it to ford and gotten fix but when i went to pick up the st and conducted my walk around inspection the rear doors panel by cup holder were apart, like somebody stepped on it. The service manager said that no one could step on it because it won't support the weight. So how this happened, I ask, he said the door expansion due to the heat. Both doors, i don't think it's heat issue. I haven't received any feedback from or anyone or have any one heard in regards a new Explorer that is only three weeks old from purchase, doors panel expanding. I believe the panel did received pressure by someone stepping on it while the glass panoramic sunroof was been replaced, that’s the only way this could've happened. Because 2 days before it wasn't like that and picture the dealership took shows that. Any feedback back would be appreciated.

Present your case to them just as you have here on this forum.
Especially so that you have before/after pics.
Either way you should be covered. Warranty or your service manager eating a little crow.
Good luck, keep us posted.
