Hey folks,
I had my windows tinted a while back by a reputable local shop. They did an ok job, and I was told to come back for any bubbles that would show up after 10 days.
It showed up in my driver side window, but they also found it on the passenger side.
But then, the guy working on removing the tint from the passenger side ended up using a heat gun near the top of the door panel long enough for it to melt and get distorted. I think this part is vinyl (can anyone confirm?)
Long story short, they offered to replace the passenger door panel entirely, but I’m truly concerned that it would end up in more disasters. Mind you, they offered to do the job themselves. I know I can go through the insurance route, but I’d like to go the friendly route first, and maybe they can compensate me some other way.
So, if anyone has suggestions on how I can fix this part on my own, especially if anyone faced a similar situation before, that would be greatly appreciated.
