SPD Downpipes ? before purchasing

Completely ignorant here, but I was told that DPs produce a lot of heat, especially if you modify it and get after it, so if I understand correctly, the Cerakote coating would help insulate the heat. Since these are notorious for having a lot of heat in the engine bay, the hope is that the overall under hood temperatures would come down a bit. I ordered mine with the coating with this hope but haven't installed them yet. I'm sure @TMac, @UNBROKEN, and a few others have some more scientific and real world experience to share.

I think it has been covered, but yes the coatings purpose is to help get as much heat as possible out the tail pipe, instead of radiating under the hood and around the trans.
On my 3.5 eco F150, I did get a ceramic coating on the Full-Race brand DPs for it. It is pretty hard to quantify any difference, but it sure helped to keep them looking good.
