Just got my third warning in two weeks. Funny, no warning until my android Ford Pass application was updated. Anyway - I drive my ride everyday - just took it out for a hour drive (without lights, air conditioning, etc.) to see what that does. I have an appoint for Thursday to have it checked out.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong? My ride is 1 year old with just under 12K.

Thanks!

Charge it fully and then try resetting the Battery Minder. Stranger things have happened, new car, bad battery.

Usually, it’s the battery—but that’s way too early for one to fail. Have a parts store do a quick test just to be sure. If it’s not the battery, it might be warranty time. I’m assuming it’s still covered under 12k miles, right? Those AGMs are great, but they seem to die early or last forever—no in-between!

Did not even know this was a thing, thanks. Found this BTW:

To reset the battery monitor on any Ford product:

1. Make sure all windows & doors are closed.
2. Turn ignition switch to on (don't start car). Wait 10 seconds.
3. Flash highbeams 5 times using the "flash to pass" stalk on the side of the steering wheel (on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off).
4. Press brake pedal 3 times in 10 seconds.
5. The battery light on instrument cluster will flash indicating the BMS has been reset.

That's it, but I didn't provide it as I didn't know if the 25 model year may have changed.

Hi, Why not hook up a battery charger and see if the warning goes away? Cheers, Ron
Taking it back for an oil change (Thursday) and a battery check. Will let you know how it goes.

Unfortunately, it hasn't reached 12K BUT it was a year old September 9th. Taking it back for an oil change (Thursday) and a battery check. Will let you know how it goes.

Did you try the reset?
It clears up the moment I start the car and stays off for a few days. FWIW - I only get the message in FordPass - nothing on the dash when I do start it after a message. Should I still try the reset or wait until it happens again? Thanks!

That's the way mine went, too. I got tired of getting the messages, cleared the minder and ran the battery for two more years without any notifications. The battery never let me down, but I felt it was time to change it. The reset is a piece of cake and won't hurt anything, why not give it a shot?

OK - gave it a shot. The battery indicator flashed three times after I followed your instructions. Thanks a bunch - will let you know what happens the next few days. Again - thanks for taking the time to provide the procedures.

No Joy! Got another low battery at 1:02AM this morning. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez
Have you checked (ALL) of your battery connections?

EDIT:
This is how I stopped the Low battery Messages:
1. Fully charge the Battery.
2. Reset the BMS.
3. Use a trickle charger if not to be used for more than three days.
4. Charge battery if ran on ACC with engine off for an extend period of time.

1st - Reset the BMS yesterday...
2nd - C
hecked the battery connections (passenger side - top left corner) all looked good. Took ride out for 1/2 hour driving at 60mph. This time - the warning didn't clear itself out like before...
3rd - Trickle charger - hey, I am 79 years old and no longer have any neat stuff floating around...
4th - Found this laying above the drivers side wheel well (under the hood) - couldn't find where it came from?

Did a search - it appears to be a fuse box cover. Under the hood on the drivers side cowling is a removable cover. I opened the cover and their was an exposed fuse box. The only way this could fit is to put it over the fuse box and then place the cowling (with another access cover) over it (or something like that). Will show it to my dealer tomorrow and have everything checked out.
