UPDATE: They replaced the battery. This was the description:
Connected Diagnostic Battery Charger to battery. Charger tested battery, battery passed test initially, then after 20 minutes of charging the battery failed due to sulfation/degraded. Removed and replaced battery, reset the BMS System, battery state of charge went up to 87%. State of charge before replacement was 58%. Verified battery was charging at 14.3 volts. Cleared any resulting DTCS.
NEW PROBLEM: Got the car back and noticed the time was wrong, I would keep getting notices about text messages I already received, "not connected" message, etc. Got a new text message and it did show up but still the "not connected" message when I replied even though it went through. I took it back to Ford and they couldn't get it to work correctly. So, they are now going to run a bunch of tests. Maybe it is just time to bite the bullet, take a loss on a ride that is 11 months old and get rid of this POS. Yea, I am pissed. But, it all passes.
FINAL UPDATE: The cover that was under the hood on the drivers wheel well was a Fuse Box Cover. They got my time and text message problem fixed. They found no DTCS present, performed hard reset (didn't work), attempted Guided Routine on APIM Module. GWM had to be updated to perform APM Guided Routine (both turned up no DTCS, APIM reset was performed and clock starting reading correct time and text message problem was corrected.
So "Living the Dream" once again.
