Last night I was served a big piece of humble pie by something unsuspecting (To me at the time).

Audi SUV was brake boosting repeatedly at me at a stoplight. It sounded good but I was like “okay guy”… Anyway, I got a good launch and gave it the beans (cool approx 75deg night), and literally saw taillights get 2,3,4,…7,10 car lengths away and it keep going. I caught up to him at the gas station and talked. That SUV was nasty!

2024 Audi RS Q8. Had downpipes and a tune. Thing was nutty fast!

I have yet to install my FMIC and downpipes so I’m drop-in filter, ZFG tune, axle back only…

Don’t feel bad! I tried going against a Q8 on the highway and it just steadily walked away from me! It has a 4.0L so we’re behind the eight ball from the start. Add the tune and DP’s and our ST’s are no match. But, look at the price tag difference!

They are very very fast cars, especially with downpipes and a tune. It’s a 4.0L V8. This is stock specs:

I used to road race a buddy with an R8 back around 20012-16. I was pushing 750hp in my CTS-V. I could gain a little in the straights but he ate me up in the twisties. I would imagine the R8’s have improved a lot in ten years. I always liked them.

He’s talking about the Q8, their big SUV.
