And if you have an auto start/stop eliminator, you once again have to unhook the negative battery terminal for a little while and hook it back up for it to work properly. WTH is it with these updates that disables the auto start/stop eliminator.. . After this October update, my start/stop eliminator stopped working again like has happened with a few other updates. I unhooked the negative earlier today and waited a while and hooked it back up. I'll be driving it in about an hour so hopefully it works right again.

Since the software update, I have lost the ability to do a soft reset by holding the power button down for ten seconds. Does anyone know how to do a soft reset?
Try pressing the power button and fast forward at the same time until it resets.

My auto start stop hasn't had a problem yet, even after the update.

This is from the owners manual.

that is for a reset/wipe of any info on the system. There used to be a reboot function, some people call it a soft reset but that's not really what it is, holding down the power button for 10 seconds would reboot the system (infotainment) which would help resolve a lot of glitches in the system.

With this new update, this reboot function is not working anymore.

I'll have to try. I swear I've rebooted mine with the 10-second power button hold since the update.

OK, two things. The Dark Mode comment was a helpful win. I had CarPlay on dark, but didn't realize the Ford software had dark mode too. Much better.

Second, I just went to grab some burgers and grill stuff, held down the power button for 10 seconds, and rebooted the software while riding down the road. I'd pull the battery cable for awhile and go that route.
