I appreciate the input from everybody, but haven’t even seen OP make a comment after his initial post. Regardless I seem to be more interested than he may have been.
I also clarified from the beginning that I had zero knowledge on the topic and that I was inquiring in hopes people who understand this stuff might enlighten me and others who may be interested, and asking questions so as to learn and potentially understand a little more about how it all worked. So some replying starting off by saying something along the lines of “you seem to have a misunderstanding” is annoyingly comical because I literally stated as much in my opening sentence..
But regardless, their input (after their first sentence) is still valued and appreciated.
Correct me if I’m wrong (I guess a pointless thing to say, because I will definitely be corrected if I’m wrong) but my understanding so far based off what has been said here is that if we are not using anything other than 93 octane pump gas, then I don’t need to do a single thing to my fuel pumps or injectors. Is that what I’m hearing? Our oem injectors are that capable? My man over here saying he’s running stage 5 turbos on oem injectors is wild to me. I’m reaching the point where the only feasible “upgrade” I can make to improve power (outside of ethanol blends) is to install bigger turbos. Am I hearing that bigger injectors will not help me with that?
Second question is why would this port injection from EMS not be a good idea? It’ll clean my intake valves (from my understanding) and it will offer an increased availability of fuel to maximize my power output. (Unless it’s actually true more fuel will not help me at 93 pump gas). I actually want to hear those of you who know what you’re talking about, or even THINK you know what you are talking about, or have any experience, let us hear it so we can weigh the pros and cons (if there are any).
Third question, which is better/safer (and why)?:
Nostrum injector upgrades for our Direct Injection, or the EMS port injection. This matters, because if we can utilize a stage 1 or 2 injector for 93 octane to provide more power to those of us who have upgraded our turbos, why should we not just go the EMS port injection route? (Unless everyone is in agreement that even a stage 1 or 2 nostrum upgrade wouldn’t help either
(In no circumstance am I going to run an ethanol blend, and yes I know 93 gas has up to 10% ethanol in it, that’s irrelevant to this conversation.)
I just want to be as fast (and reliable) as possible and not use an ethanol blend, all valuable input is appreciated.
