Model 2026 does not has the panoramic glass roof w/ power shade. Is about a cost reduction or due quality problems?

Hey guys,

I have the option to buy a 2025 or a 2026 , however I do see that the main difference is that the newest one does not have the panoramic glass roof with power shade, does Ford decided to remove this due cost reduction or due the multiple complaints of quality?

I have a 24 St Line. Mine doesn't have one either. I'm not much of a sunroof fan anyway.

Ive seen the shade part come apart on more than one vehicle. And it is a nightmare to repair. No thanks. My 2025 doesnt have it.

It still has the shade, but the glass doesn’t open and is now just a solid pane of glass. I would actually prefer that.

It's a solid piece of glass, vs an opening roof. The actual shade itself is still there, which is actually a problematic area in itself as it's fairly common for the shade to fall apart.

One could argue both ways as to why Ford did it but only Ford knows the truth with regards to warranty claims cost and their savings in costs by eliminating the opening portion.

Hopefully it means no sunroof related leaks
