Lethal Mid Pipes

Guys, I have a question about the flex coupling in my mid pipes.. have the lethal set and have had them on for over a year and no issue with them. My question is how much “Flex” should they have? I can grab either pipe and they do not flex. The original ford flex pipes would move a good bit and they broke so that’s why I installed the lethal set. I guess if anyone has these or a set with the woven or braided steel type could just grab the pipe and see how much it moves? I have a slight vibration in the pedals, seat and steering wheel that has not been identified yet, two techs checked it again today and have found nothing so I am wondering if the vibration is exhaust pulsing and having very ridged exhaust piping. Picture of flex coupling for reference.

They should be pretty firm. It’s a vibration dampener more than a flex joint.

Thanks for the reply Unbroken, one of my neighbors has the same setup but a different vehicle and his are firm. When I find out what is causing the vibration I will post it in the Driveline Vibration Thread. Have a good day

Hey Big Dummy (What a great show...) I installed the same on mine and now have a vibration. side note: I recently installed CVF dps as well.
After quite a bit of research, the additional vibration can be resolved by adding a couple of hangers. I will be doing this soon (just installed the mids yesterday).

If that works it would be great. I haven’t been posting anything lately due to work and life in general. I haven’t just learned to live with the slight vibrations but still annoyed when I drive. And Yeah, Sandford and Son is a classic. Please post an update once you have the hangers installed. Thank you Speedracer05
