Local fluid film undercoaters offer hackery in about an hour, which is better than nothing, but I'm picky so I did it myself. Took about 4 hours. Lots of cavities to get wand into. Lots of guards and covers to get under too. Very impressive design components under there.

What the cost? Does it dry clear and how long is it supposed to last?

So my Silverado was done when new and at 10 years old it had zero surface rust underneath. Same with all our vehicles but we usually sell or trade at 3-5years old.....always like new underneath.
Its especially important to get into rockers and doors, provided they are steel and not aluminium or some poly. Lots of newer stuff have poly rear hatches and aluminium hoods so unnecessary to do and detrimental with poly due to porous nature will cause paint issues.
Fluid film is about 80 per gallon and I can do at least 2 vehicles. My 40' rv took just under a gallon. They sell kits with spray gun and wands.
I've noted it's good for 3-4 years or more with only spot touch ups each fall which I do with the aerosol spray cans they sell. Takes 15 mins to recoat the washed off areas. Once dust and grime locks this stuff down, its sealed.

Nice job! Does this require any prep work before you spay on the film?

No color, but as dust and grime locks it on it turns black. A dusty dirt road drive locks it in quick. No prep if vehicle is clean, otherwise underbody wash and apply when dry.

was thinking about having a Fluid Film party myself... lol...Question....did you remove the panels and covers underneath or just push the wand in between and spray. That stuff smells pretty bad from what I remember and there is a lot of exhaust under our explorers. I was thinking it was going to be easier to use a the gallon container and brush it on and then wipe off the excess with rags for the areas I am not using the spray wand.

Use a spray wand with 360* fan nozzle. Brush is useless. With time and diligence you can get full coverage into the ever important cavities where rust starts first.
NO need to remove the panels if you act thoroughly with the wand.
Just buy the gun with wand and gallon kit on Ebay and have at it, you'll be glad you did years later.
Imo linseed oil or even waste oil does not smell. I wouldn't care if it did, benefits are too important.
