Hi, I’m doing some research on exhausts for my 25 ST. Ideally I’d want one that’s adjustable like can be quiet when I want and louder at other times. I’ve been looking at the valvetronic exhaust but I have heard both good and bad. Ideally I’d wanna keep as much of the original exhaust as possible. I guess people are saying it’s too raspy but that can be fixed with an X pipe being installed. Anyone have any better insight or other recommendations that would be nice.

An X-pipe definetly wouldn’t fix rasp, that is the exact opposite of what they normally are known for. I dont think the Valvetronics are a great choice, mostly because it would be really hard to make them sound right. You would at least need the pair of mufflers, and a pair of Vibrant resonators for it to sound good, but its still pretty raspy.

That’s fair…. Are there really any alternatives from valvetronic that are adjustable?

You could always do cutouts but I think that would sound like crap imo.

I have 2 valvetronics and an x pipe on my st. I love it. Almost as quiet as stock when closed and when open it's not deafening but when you get on it it sounds great. I have the remote programmed to the garage door buttons so it's super easy to open and close. Happy to answer any questions.

You know it’s illegal to post that without a sound clip right? ;-)

Just got my mufflers from the black friday sale. How/where did you wire up to? How hard was the garage opener button to program?

I have the controller box on a little platform I made on the spare tire. I tapped in to power at the rear power plug by the light. I ran the air hose out the vent on the driver's side. Had it in a year plus. Zero issues. Programming the remote is super easy. There's a video where they put valvetronics on an at on you tube. He shows how to to it there. Basically hold down the garage opener then the remote.
