Need help... Went to make the changes to disable the fake engine noise with the instructions (and after backing up the original file of course)... and after doing the ACM, I noticed a couple of things. One, a tiny crackle of the speakers as it probably rebooted the module which I can understand and also my carplay dropped. I shrugged it off and went to the next step after cycling, etc. and was getting the error "Gain security access failed - security key is wrong". So after a couple key cycles, I figured oh well I'll revert. So I went to revert the one change I made and looking at the string across 727-01-01, that first line had changed considerably... more than the 1 character I changed. Odd... so I was like oh well, I'll just load the saved config back, which I did, and it didn't have a problem doing so, and I heard the reboot/very slight crackle in the speakers and cycled, etc.

Now, when I go into the ACM module, all of the characters are exactly right, but carplay simply does not work anymore at all. I have done the "forget" on my phone, on the car stereo, and everything and it does not work and will not connect. Bluetooth does. So for kicks I drove it around the block and sure enough, the terrible sound of the fake engine is gone thank God, but it shouldn't be, as I reverted to the saved factory file. Carplay still does not work.

I have also verified that the DSP never changed and is as the factory settings were.

Can someone please, please help me out here before I have to tuck my tail into a dealership about this?

I've also tried to reboot the ACM module and key cycle. Also have tried with both keys/profiles... both iPhones deleted the car in the phone, deleted the phone in the car, then tried to re-add them... same thing. They will connect via bluetooth but Carplay attempts then errors out on the car. Also, fake engine noise is still gone... all values are back to stock. Really at a loss here... any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update - Oooookay, so I just went out to move the car after it's been sitting for 40min or so... and carplay connected (I wasn't even intening on "re-testing" the issue)... so I drove it around the block and the God-awful fake engine sound is back too. So I guess that's great news to me. But it begs the question... what IS the proper procedure / wait time here for these changes? This would be helpful to know... of course I'm feeling a huge relief but at the same time, the "tweak/customize-everything-I-can" voice in my head wants me to go right back out and try it again... (not today). But before I do, I want to ensure I know what the proper procedure and wait time is for these changes? I also think for good measure (and yes I know unnecessary and overkill) I will save all of the module configs of the car before doing anything again.

Thanks in advance!
