So just read to use up to a 32gb flash drive. Mine is 120GB. Would this prevent the system from auto running the flash drive?

When you put in your USB stick, do you get notification on the screen that it was recognized? If so, the update my start but ultimately fail with an ERR08 message. That is the problem with the bug in the older versions of Sync. Same with failure to Master Reset. All these and more are a symptom of running out of memory in the APIM.

So, I got a 32GB flash drive and it is now working and updating. Thank you so much for your assistance my friend. Guessing it will take 30 - 45 minutes with the engine on.

Should take less than 30 minute, engine on. Longer? high chance it'll stall. fingers crossed for you...

If successful, I'd recommend a master reset and start fresh with your preferences.

Alright, so the update was successful and it shows Build 23188. However, I'm still not able to do a master reset. Once I hit continue, it just freezes there she I have to perform a soft reset to get it working again. I did shut the car off and locked it, waited 5 minutes and started it again before I attempted the master reset. Any ideas?

How about a soft reset immediately followed by a master reset? At least you have 23188. It should periodically clear the memory on its own
