They'll be doing a ton of ST owners a favor, easier to run a straight pipe haha

    10r80 swap

Isn't there currently a high 10 sec ST with over 600whp with a level 10 tranny?

Thinking on trading ST for F150 or F250

If thats the case, IMO, I would take the F-250 with the 7.3. Bigger gas tank too! Any type of towing situation, you wont have to worry with it and in any weather as well. Surprised you went with the ST seeing that you dont really use it as an SUV, with the passengers that is. If the pricing...

Thinking on trading ST for F150 or F250

Interesting, didnt think it was that much of an upgrade for different gears. Just noticed the 7.3 is only available with 3.55's and 4.30's, wouldve been nicer with a 3.73. But alas, wouldnt complain either way haha Wonder what is the difference in mpg when towing for the F-250 vs the 5.0 F-150...

Thinking on trading ST for F150 or F250

LokiWolf just traded his ZFG tuned ST for a PowerHybrid F-150 with no regrets. IMO, I would go for the Godzilla F250 if you ever consider towing something big and/or heavy (10k+ lbs). The Godzilla engine sounds amazing tho and overall, its a beautiful truck! Are the 4.30 gears the only option...

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

Suspension is tweaked differently on the ST as well and you been able to get different brake options since when they were first released.

    Well this is interesting

The bench seat on the 20+ are actually usable for 3 people especially the middle person. Much more comfortable, roomier and wont leave a gap in the middle when you flatten the seats down.

    Great to be here

Ton of Luxury cars have no dipsticks for their engines..... Been like that for years

    2023 Refresh?

Not only that, so far every year, Ford is removing stuff from the Explorer. 2020 had all the bells and whistles, 2021 removed the glove box and arm rest light, front washer, removed a bolt from the rear end, made it single bolt. 2022 removed the center floor console on captain chairs and who...

There's a recall for the blue screen that's supposed to fix it.

    2023 Refresh?

Far as a major facelift, highly doubt it, thats usually a 4-6 year change. Minor? Possibly, maybe just a grill change and new bumper at most. Considering there are still a ton of cars that were halted, I really doubt there will be a minor one as well. I dont expect the new Android console till...

    Rear end damage

Im sure it'll be perfectly fine on a stock tune. The one's having the issue's are tuned I believe. The ST's can be bought RWD as well with a slight higher gear ratio vs the Platinum, havent heard any issues with those. It would be annoying tho getting the car towed to dealer on a random time...

Huge gaps on body work on many 2021!!! Please complain to Ford this is not normal!!!

My 20 Explorer Platinum has the same gap on the same panel. Im pretty sure Ford already got an earful from these things including the interior gaps from all the reviewers. Whatever, its no biggie. Doesnt affect the driveability nor 99% of the people will notice. I only noticed it when I was...

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

More than likely, next to nothing BUT it'll be running a lot more consistent so it'll feel faster since the power wont drop like it does currently due to heat soak.

Coming out of a 2018 F-150 3.5L with a tune to Explorer ST...

Congrats on the new car but I mean... what did you expect? You went from a truck running mid 12's to an SUV running very high 13's. Far as the lag, you still have a breaking point to cross and computer learning. It'll get better with miles. The issue IMO is the 10 speed tranny finding gears...

Eco vs Normal in city driving

BMW did a test regarding that, which is the best way to get the most MPG. Accelerating and shifting below 2400 RPM and getting to the speed limit quicker netted the best results vs slower pedal driving. From my experience in my scenerio on stop and go around town, Eco mode was NOT better vs...

Eco vs Normal in city driving

On street, you might be better off in normal mode. Leave Eco for highways. Best way to get higher MPG's is move to the proper speed faster and stay there. Being on Eco, itll take more gas to move and longer to get to speed. Ford already skips gear on normal mode with the 10 speed, so no worries...

Silly Question - Front Camera Squirter

Far as I know, the only "upgrade" the 21 received in the interior is the plastic cover in the dash now has a piano black color (could be a negative if you hate fingerprints but nicer looking) and the front seats dont have the plastic cover anymore in the rear, full leather. Much nicer looking...

Sync 3.4 Update (Build 21020) Now Available on the Owner Site

Sadly, Sync 1/2/3 have all been horrible. Outside of the ability of AA and AC, I preferred Sync 2 over Sync 3. I wish it was more like Jeep/Dodge interface, IMO the best UI of all car makers. Fast, smooth, reliable and no need to wait a couple of min for it to boot up.

    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

Could be, feel similar in handling just much more smoother I bet. I was eyeing a basic Aviator Reserve at a local dealer but got a great deal on a fully loaded Platinum that was around 12k cheaper vs the Reserve. Was a no brainer in my case.
