    Intercooler talk....

Have to agree with that. With all the intercoolers performing basically the same, why not go with one that is known to be an easier install. Unless I’m missing something magical about the Livernois. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Stock vs Big Brake Kit

Hard to avoid fade without a big multi piston caliper and high temp pads. Sure the stock pads fades some but it’s a fantastic combination for daily driving imo. Everything is a compromise with brakes. Best stopping, lowest dusting, quietness, and temp resistance. It’s all a compromise. My...

    Stock vs Big Brake Kit

No worries. I agree with you on the stock street pack brakes. Best stock brakes I’ve had on any vehicle besides my ctsv. I was surprised at your improvement compared to my butt dyno[emoji23]. I can damn near put my forehead into the windshield. Assuming you did a full bleeding of the new brakes...

    Brake fault lights

If no scan tool, disconnect neg battery terminal for a few minutes (10min). Not explorer but both my daughters’ Honda Accords lit up like a Christmas tree after brake jobs. Disconnecting the battery cleared all the lights on those cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stock vs Big Brake Kit

Love the Superforged. I’m surprised in your 7ft improvement. I would have guessed better than that based on some of my high speed braking runs. I believe the Superforged brake pads are a compromise between performance dusting. I believe they sell an upgraded pad with a higher coefficient of...

Interior chemical smell when sitting in the sun, also seems to be during climate control mixing

Old enough you shouldn’t get off gassing unless they replaced something. If chemical you need to find the source. If it’s organic, I would recommend an ozone generator and run it with the ac on for about an hour with the car closed up. I have had great luck with spilled milk and other goodies my...

Steeda vs H&R vs Eibach decision

Here’s a lousy pic with the Eibachs and 295/49R22’s. Ride around town feels the same as Steedas. No highway driving yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Greetings from TireRack World headquarters.

Nice. Tire Rack is awesome. Back about 15 years ago I sold them some supper expensive assembly tools so they could assemble multi-piece wheels at their facility. Got invited to a couple test days. I’ve been buying from them for about 20 years. I take their reviews very seriously and have rarely...

FS Free shocks and struts 36k- GONE

Free to a good home. Replaced shocks struts and springs. These are not leaking and were working fine. Full disclosure, I had a low speed clunk in the back. I replaced shock, spring, and sway bar link and retorqued everything in the rear suspension. So it MIGHT have been the shock. They probably...

    FS Used Steeda springs SOLD

Got a set I pulled with 30k miles. Only reason I replaced them was the surface rust on the rears and I was doing shocks. I loved the ride and had no issues with them other than surface rust on rears. Nothing a sanding/blast and a rattle can or powder coating wouldn’t take care of. $100 pick up...

    Windshield inside sweating

No that’s not right. Does the airflow and temp feel the same on both sides? My guess is you are not getting full flow on that side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Low Oil Level and Oil Pressure *READ ME*

The problem is with the oil pump baffling on the oem pan. Hard cornering can starve the oil pump. Overfilling helps mitigate this. Adding another oil pump is not practical. So long as you are not adding more than 1/2qt or so, it’s only raising the oil level 1/4” or so. With the deeper pan, the...

Steeda vs H&R vs Eibach decision

No pics yet but the Eibach are lower than the Steeda by about 3/4” maybe a tad more in back. No noticeable ride difference but only a couple miles. I’ll let them settle for a week then take some pics and offer a ride comparison to the Steeda springs. Probably selling my springs cheap after I...

    Front end clunk/rattle

On a side note, it’s not surprising the strut top bearing won’t hold up. I just did shocks, struts, and springs. The struts had 37k miles on them. I had a bad rear shock and rusted Steeda springs so I just did it all. Anyhow, when I took the first spring off the strut, the plastic strut bearing...

2200 mile trip in the ST

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve had full sized trucks prior to the explorer and it’s a blast on long trips. Massage seats are a nice touch for long drives. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Steeda vs H&R vs Eibach decision

I just ordered a set of Eibachs to replace my Steeda springs. While I liked the ride the rears are pretty much completely rusted in just short of three years. Fronts are still good. I’m getting ready to do shocks and struts and I saw the springs. I’ll try to get some before and after pics and...
