400 HP option for 2022 Kings Ranch and Platinums

You can get a great tune from zfg- they even do the transmission maps. However, some Ford owners are worried about their warranties and since a Ford tune won't jeopardize that, I can understand them wishing for a Ford alternative.

Who Has Downpipes + Thermal Exhaust ??

dps are Down pipes- or the pipes that connect to the turbos and connecting to the exhaust. You could just think of them as the catalytic converters. Thermal is a brand of a cat-back exhaust.

At least you read the post! Good catch!

You only quoted part of my post. If there's anything in the bulk of my post that is wrong, you're welcome to let me know. Unless you just want to emoji me to death! But class, what have we learned interesting today? Our ST uses vacuum referenced wastegates. Which means they can be open...

That sir, is an honest answer! So how close am I about 1.8 bar at 5500 stock? :) (We'll assume near sea level and 77 degrees)

Now, I only have a few data points- the original Ford torque/hp figures and a handful of dyno charts from zfg, livernois, and 5 star. Based on those, you can see some pretty signficant differences in the torque and in all of these, zfg was most impressive. He has to be doing quite a bit of...

Whatever you want to call it, the fact is that all tuning is torque based tuning. In an ICE "torque" is a static measurement of cylinder pressure. In turn, cylinder pressure is a function of V/E and the density of the intake charge. Regardless of the ecu, given the same mechanical...

I'm not going to get involved in any argument, but @Jonx96 if you've been on other message boards you know you have to build up your respect over time. And don't get me wrong, I'm not finding fault, but like @zdubyadubya posted, had you said you wanted to see specific logs- IAT, Lbs/Min...

I can certainly agree with you that it's awfully difficult to get people to share anything- even the stock tune parameters. I attribute this to the relative newness of the platform and the limited number of tuners. I have experience in tuning, and like you new to the Ford platform, but I...

That being the case, he'll end up just like the last member who was going to do his own tune. As I remember he ended up unsuccessful and then bought the zfg tune. When are you going to race him? ;)

I don't see what all the fuss is about, if you don't want to share a log, don't. ZFG posted in another thread that even if someone could see his tune parameters, they wouldn't know what was going on- just a log isn't going to give away some massive top secret. Why discourage a new member and...

    Wi-Fi updates????

Just remember, Ford is going to sell this explorer to thousands of older people who aren't as tech savvy as you are. If my Dad or Mom got any kind of "reboot" or "Hey do you want to allow software updates over cellular" LOL, they'd be marching right into the Ford Dealer and pitch a fit.

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

Any "clockwise" motion should be primarily handled by the front two mounts.

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

The bolts in the rear of the differential are to limit travel of the diff in the Z plane- up and down and may have some stabilization in the left to right motion. Under torque, as in a launch, the front of the differential where it connects to the driveshaft will move upwards, trying to rotate...

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

If that's the "answer", someone asked the wrong question. FenFab does some trick work, but this.... Think about the differential movement under torque, then look at the design of this "brace".

    Whipple intercooler Dyno results?

You won't see any significant horsepower gains from an upgraded intercooler. You will get an advantage in cooler intake temps providing some insurance against pullbacks in timing when the stock intercooler becomes heat soaked.

    Explorer ST/Timberline Part Swap

There is only one thing I want from the Timberline- the Torsen rear differential.

God, I'm sorry I clicked on that link. Not all of us have fiber! Especially since I could barely hear it.
