It sucks for sure. I hate doing that hard reset. Have a hard time getting it back the way I want it. I've done the soft reset mutiple times to see if I can avoid that hard reset. Had it work a few times.

The GPS issue happens to other products also. When I still used a Garmin it would happen once in a while. Even had it happen on my phone with Google maps.

When I had that happen to me I used the soft reset and it restored the GPS. No change to your settings that way. Not sure if it would solve the other issues but worth trying.

The Uhaul car trailer has surge brakes so no need for a brake controller. You don't need a weight distributing hitch but when loading just make sure the car is well balanced front to back. To far forward and the rear of the Explorer will sag to much and if to far back you could have problems...

Only issue I had was with SYNC. Once updated to version 21194 it's been working with no problems. You might check what version yours is on.

I can using Android Auto.

For some reason Ford Owners site has been slow showing the update being done. I updated to 21194 on Aug 27th and it still shows me as being eligible for the update. Who knows when it might change.

Doing a search on Ford parts brings no results for that part number. It looks more like a heater control valve to me.

I just seen that article a few minutes ago. Saving a couple bucks I guess.

They update the software for the camera.

You don't need to have the motor running to install it. I just turn the radio on. Only downside is that the radio times out and may need to be turned back on depending on how long the install takes.

I got the same thing last week. Was surprised as my issues were kind of minor compared to what some others have had.

Mine took about 10 days to confirm with Ford. I've seen others that did the update when I did and Ford still isn't showing it for them. Ford is running pretty slow on it this time.

Makes sense to me. This crazy world today you never know when you might need it.
