I received an unsolicited email update from AFE yesterday stating that they expect to begin shipping the CAI.....in mid/late January 2022. Hope this helps. For the time being, I dropped a K&N in to suffice.

I can honestly say that, we haven't noticed any "tone change" from date of install until now (4+ months). That being said, I'm hardly an expert on exhaust systems so, I wouldn't notice it unless it was drastic.

Man, I've had mine on for a few months now. My wife and I both love it. The drone to me, in comparison to other systems out here, is negligible. Certain RPM ranges do have a bit more drone, but nothing obnoxious, in our opinion. And my wife is the type that cares nothing for aftermarket...
