Anyone try these ebay black lug nuts

The ones I received from American Muscle are definitely 13/16 (.8125") whereas the OEM nuts are 22mm, so I can't get the OEMs off without a 22mm. Even if I could, I would still need them torqued and the tire shop charges the same, so I'll just let them do it all.

Anyone try these ebay black lug nuts

Not disputing that there is a difference, in fact just looking at the still-installed OEM nuts and the Mustang nuts it's quite obvious that there is, but it is interesting that Gorilla, McGard, and even Ford Performance all list the same part number for both the Explorer and the Mustang.

Anyone try these ebay black lug nuts

Not yet as I have neither a 22mm socket or a torque wrench capable of 150 lb-ft, so I am going to have to wait until I get a chance to run by the tire shop to have them thrown on.

    Water in passenger foot area

Fully understanding how most dealerships operate, I am not too hopeful with regard to the warranty claim itself, but will wait to see what Ford has to say. That said, I replaced an over 16-year-old, 400+HP GM SUV with this vehicle as GM does not still build 400+HP SUVs under $100K, so this is...

    Water in passenger foot area

Went through this a couple of months ago with my dealer, who insisted that the clogged sunroof drains were not a warranty item (am also still under B2B), to which I begged to differ. The bottom line was that it cost me $375 to have the drains cleared (headliner has to be dropped), and I have...

    Oil life meter

    1. Good on you for doing a full-synth change. 2. Unless you have regularly been making laps on a race course, you haven't worn out a full-synth oil change at 5K. 3. The above notwithstanding, as cheap insurance, maybe do another "just-in-case" change and definitely make sure the oil life monitor...

    ST’s in Texas

Few things quite represent a genuine Texas photo check-in as one shot with a Buc-ee's in the background. Well done.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Every place I checked that sold both Mustang and Explorer lug nuts listed the same part number for both vehicles, so I went ahead and ordered a set of these today. Thanks again for the heads-up.

Anyone try these ebay black lug nuts

FWIW, Gorilla lists the exact same part number for both the Explorer lugs and the Mustang lugs, as do many others who sell lugs. Personally, I have ordered a set of these Mustang Lugs and will soon be installing them on my ST.

FYI - if you're warranty shopping

Indeed, Granger is definitely the least expensive across all Ford ESP plans, not to mention their efficiency. I purchased a PremiumCARE plan from them late one Saturday evening and had the confirmation and contract email in my inbox early the next Monday morning with the ESP linked to my account...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Saw one in the lot and wish I had taken a picture as it was very sharp. Small world as there are now at least two very rockin' wrapped-roof trucks in the far northwest Harris County area.

You didn't happen to be at the ALDI on Barker Cypress today around 11 am, did you? I saw a white ST with an obviously black wrapped roof in the parking lot.
