What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I completely agree- but did you seriously pay $2k for that setup? I think it's great, but that's outside my pocket money!

    It finally happened...

    I feel your pain.

    It finally happened...

No. It didn't fix itself! Nor did disconnecting the power. I have an appointment scheduled for later this week. Appreciate you asking!

    Ford Performance Tune

I really enjoy the back-and-forth on this subject. Both sides have solid points as I posted in #290. I'm not even sure what the argument is about, but as someone over 55, I don't remember that any of this was even an issue when I was younger. Please bear with me- I'm making a point...

Let's take a quiz: Do you post useful information to the site? Check. Do you add insight and technical direction that results in hundreds of positive accolades? Check. Do you occasionally refute nonsensical, false information? Check. Do a majority of active members of the site acknowledge your...

whoosh motorsports high flow catted downpipes

And just for those who are wondering why I asked- Ron's answer means the cat is probably about as good as one can get!

He has me blocked as well as several others who didn't agree with him, so he can't see the post!

Just curious Ron- are these ceramic or metal substrate? Cell count?

    New SYNC version is Available

I should probably add an answer as to "what the f... is a checksum?". If you're overwriting memory, a checksum is a number that helps to verify the correct information was written to memory. The simplest algorithm to use is to add up all the bytes (2 character hex values) that were written...

    New SYNC version is Available

I can guess what they signify, but they are hexadecimal values; a base 16 number system rather than a base 10 (decimal) system you're used to seeing. In "Hex", each two character pair represents an 8-bit integer from 0-255. Each character represents a "nibble"- a 4-bit value from 0-15, or...

    Post your Dragy times.

If the Dragy doesn't have a sensor that goes outside to measure outside temps, then it's only measuring temps inside the cabin. Duh.

    Ford Performance Tune

May I distill this down in a nutshell? For those who think this "tune" is going to give them a few extra HP (and perhaps better shifting) and not void their warranty- they have a point, and I get it. For those who think that 30 HP is not worth the amount of money over a tune that could provide...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

I have the stock exhaust. I could care less about sound so it doesn't make sense to swap unless you want something that sounds better. If I were going to get an exhaust (after upgrading turbos and downpipes), I'd go with a setup similar to this...

If it doesn't increase boost, it won't increase HP.

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

The stock GT-R uses a SINGLE 3" exhaust pipe back to the muffler. The ST uses dual 2.5 (with a smaller 2.25 in one spot). The area of the stock ST exhaust is larger than that of a single 3". Dual 3" is not only overkill but will affect low end performance. Here are two posts of mine on the...

Red Seal is the Canadian version of ASE. So you need to find a certified ASE mechanic here in the states.

    Winter Tires and Rims

I don't think @Phalanx is active here in a year or so. However to answer your question, the 18" PIU wheels do fit the performance brakes.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I had to sell the zx due to an unfortunate business setback. I also had a '95 supra. Both unmodified, low mileage and perfect. Honestly, I miss the Z more than the supra- except for the prices the supra commands now! Sorry to go off-topic- just shedding a tear!

One of my favorite cars, my '94 twin-turbo. Believe it or not, I also owned a '95 supra turbo. This was the better car.

    Explorer ST Exhaust Comparison

Here's a post from @UNBROKEN- a member of this site who is far more knowledgeable than I on the subject: https://www.explorerst.org/threads/installed-corsa-unbearable-drone.2819/post-34648 Check out that thread and others where he discusses that info.
