    RWD or AWD??

Here's a link to some conversation about RWD vs AWD performance. I haven't heard of anyone doing major mods on a RWD platform (at least on this site). While you would save some weight, you're giving up AWD...

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I doubt it. If that were true, you wouldn't be able to tighten or loosen the bolt. And...it's obviously gone.

The 10 second Explorer ST thread!

    And probably another 200hp.

0-60 Times w/no brake tq (Stomp & go)

I should add to this that DA- except at extremes- doesn't really mean anything to a turbocharged ST. It is measuring mass-flow. And it does that by controlling the wastegates. It can deliver the same 40 lbs/min of airflow at sealevel and in Denver. Air temperature has much more impact than...

0-60 Times w/no brake tq (Stomp & go)

I don't have a dragy, but this whole temp/attitude DA thing has caused me to wonder where this info is coming from. You are definitely not getting temp or barometric pressue (which factor into DA) from the GPS satellites. If you are getting info from 3 satellites, you can get 2-d mapping...

The 10 second Explorer ST thread!

You forgot to mention the other mod: A ZFG racing tune!

    Winter Tires 21” Street Pac

You can't go wrong with either of the two you mentioned in your first post. And, I'm sure you're aware, if you get 3 feet of snow, there is no tire on earth that will make a difference!

Not sure why my IP was banned on my first account.....

How many new users in their first 4 posts, post basically the same thing to 4 threads, 3 of which they created within 15 minutes- all of which are product links? Anyone? Then re-register under a different IP address and different moniker to bitch that they were just too naive to understand...

Not sure why my IP was banned on my first account.....

If you open 3 new threads in a very short period of time with a single post in each, touting an Amazon link- you look like a troll. If you then post the same link in another thread that already exists you look like a troll. And...if one of the threads you open has the exact same name as an...

    Winter Tires 21” Street Pac

Although it's not common knowledge, Nokian actually builds certain Bridgestone winter tires in Finland and US. Understand that (at least for US studless tires), the US market is different than the market in Finland. If you want a decent tire for occasional winter use- not much snow, not much...

    Winter Tires 21” Street Pac

It's so subjective that only under some rigorous testing could anyone answer your question. Subjectively though, I had Hakkapeliitta snow tires for two winters on an '06 STi in North Friggin' Dakota. If I still lived there, I'd buy 'em again.

    Bad Vibration After Tire Rotation

As far as loose lugnuts. I know of two cases of that happening. Now it may not be statistically significant, but they were people I know- in one case the tires were rotated and in the other, they were having new tires put on. In both cases the lugnuts were not torqued properly on one of the...

Blind Spot Detection with Cross Traffic Error

Sounds like Canbus errors. Try a battery disconnect- or like @MikeyP suggests- you're getting problems from a compromised battery.

    Bad Vibration After Tire Rotation

This is the very first thing you should check- a missing wheel weight. Visually check for a "clean" rectangular area on the inside of the rim. Mud might also be a possibility as would be a severely "barked" tire. The other likely culprit as stated by @Chamorro85 might be an improper tightening...

    New aFe strut tower brace

You're right, it may lead to "somewhat" more rigidity. Like as in pretty much imperceptible. For those who've actually looked at the structure of the shock tower and firewall system/castings on the ST, you'll see what I mean. None of the braces I've seen will have any measurable effect on...

    New aFe strut tower brace

I would say that 5 of those statements are absolutely true. One of those statements is "somewhat" true. Y'all guess which!

Battery Saver Mode and Door Pad Entry

Here's just a bit of advice for those who don't understand internet forum etiquette. Using the word "TROLL" is like using the "C" word toward a female. You had better be absolutely prepared for repercussions- especially if you're wrong. Because the user is new, I can only infer he has been...

Battery Saver Mode and Door Pad Entry

Once you receive the signal, you can reset the code by entering your own personal five-digit code (within five seconds). The vehicle will lock and unlock once again as confirmation that your new code has been entered correctly. It's important to know that the factory code can never be...

    Ford Performance Tune

Is anyone else completely at a loss as to what he said? Perhaps you could be more precise on what "hasn't been brought up sooner", what road you're "no inclined to go down".

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

It's your money- use it when you need it. JG Wentworth. I was just curious if you were joking about that price, not questioning your financial decisions!
