Does the Explorer add artificial exhaust sound in addition to the FENG? Some of what I hear is deep reverberation during engine braking around 40 or so. Also, while just parked, if I tap the gas lightly, I hear a bass boom and then the slight engine rev. It all just sounds very artificial.

Are they basically spiking 87(E10) with E85 to get the higher octane fuels? Probably to make it cheaper per specific octane rating but be less fuel efficient than 93(e10)

Meh. I don't really break in cars and don't follow the varying rpm, throttle, etc. I give it a bit of thrashing on side streets and more subtle driving on the highway. Hardest miles were the first 10 during test drive. Damn, just realized that I don't even let it idle to let the turbos cool down...

The aviator is 600+ tq. I test drove one and it was nice. You do get a bit more low end grunt but the weight really cancels it out and it is def not 20k+ nicer.

Looks like it is the Lincoln Aviator grand touring hybrid drivetrain but Ford Explorer. They are fun but heavy AF.

Is there software to mod the displays at all? such as add IAT, boost/vacuum, etc? Or is the best bet to use a bluetooth OBD2 & phone or gauges?

it could be that they make too much power with higher ethanol blends and Ford won't want to cover breakage from additional wear of 100+ more hp.

Anyone have a wind turbulence buffeting sound like you get with a single window open but when all windows are up? I have been getting it periodically. Might have to tell the gf that the fix is just put louder exhaust on to cover it. We all know that if you have louder exhaust, you need to throw...

Although, Had someone run a stop sign and almost got side swiped 2 days ago with 132 miles on it about a block away from my house.

The closest 20 with bench seat was about 200 miles from me. The local dealer sold me a better equipped 21 for 2k more than other dealer wanted for the 20.

I got the 2nd row bench specifically for a travel hammock for our dogs so camping gear can go in the rear.

Well... Santa = me but still frickin awesome. Really digging the new ride and getting the feel of it and trying to resist theurge to add a bit more power. Deciding to give it 10-15k before mods unless maybe if FRPP comes out with a ProCal tune for warranty purposes.
