    Beautiful morning in Savannah today...

Interesting neighborhood ... Great shot ... it's an angle we don't see often and I like it a lot!! Ken

    Wireless charger frustration

I use the tray every day with my iPhone XR and have zero issues with fit or performance. Other than I keep forgetting it's there when I exit ... ;) Ken

    2020 Explorer ST Fuel Questions

Tacoma, WA ... also around $3.00 for 87!! Ken

    Driver side wind noise

I have a definite whistle that occurs around 65mph. It's definitely in the driver's door mirror because when you close the mirror while maintaining the speed, the whistle goes away!! So far, two different dealers have said they either can't hear anything or it's "normal", which, of course...

    BAD SERVICE!! GRRRRRRRR!!

Final installment and the ultimate shock: Picked our ST up tonight after driving a Ram pickup loaner for the day. I was hoping for a warm reception from the Service Manager, a totally cleaned and washed ST, and maybe some sort of gift certificate for a future oil change or something similar...

    BAD SERVICE!! GRRRRRRRR!!

Thanks for the comments ... I'm waiting until they open!! It's really sad as once upon a time, this dealership was really well run. It's not only close to our home, it's right across the street from a Park n Ride that my wife uses for her commute. So I always have a "loaner" ... just grab her...

    BAD SERVICE!! GRRRRRRRR!!

After taking my wife to a massage appointment tonight, I noticed what looked like a wisp of steam coming from the left front of our ST at a stop light. Looked at the Temp Gauge and all was well. Huh? Got home, opened the hood and found the idiots at Lakewood Ford here in Tacoma had not put the...

    Fuel Economy

We haven't taken a "long" trip yet ... but on our couple of 100+ mile jaunts on the highway we've gotten well over 24MPG which I think is truly outstanding for a vehicle this size, weight, and power!! Even in town I'm recording 18-19MPG which I think is also quite good. Ken

    Atlas Blue Goes Berry Picking!

Seems appropriate to have taken the ST blueberry picking today!! Drive down and back was totally uneventful ... thinking the new update to Sync has really solved some issues. Couple of weeks ago we went to the same farm and the GPS went all wonky!! Not sure if was a glitch in the map database...

    Sync Navigation Update

Expect it to be down for a day or two ... apparently a file was not included in the original "release" which didn't update Sirius (and maybe some other things) properly. I got a side copy direct from a Ford engineer who was helping me after I id'd the issue, and after getting that file, my...

    Sync Navigation Update

After driving around quite a bit today, I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination that this latest build (20136) has some substantial improvements in performance. Switching between main menus (Home -> Navigation -> Audio) is much faster and far more responsive. Even the 3D map display I use...

    Sync Navigation Update

Ford may have pulled the update temporarily. I was told there is a file missing from the version I downloaded last night and that's why I had problems with SiriusXM. I received the file and some additional instructions, re-did the update, and now all is fine. The rep was on another forum and...

    Sync Navigation Update

That image is from the maps site ... which is different from the "operating system" or Sync portion of the system. That download is on the Ford Owner site under Support. The update does not change the "version" which remains at 3.4, but the build number updates to 20136. Here's what mine now...

    Sync Navigation Update

A new Sync 3.4.43 just showed up for our VIN on the Owner site. Not sure of the build number, but mine had been 19274 and this one is an update ... report back as soon as I can get it installed, I will!! Ken UPDATE ... after a late night trip around town, my Sync is now listed as 20136. Took...

    Second row bench

Mine looks exactly like those above (same exterior color ...) :) One of the reasons we talked about getting an Explorer to replace our F-150 was the fact that in three years, we could have used the third row of seats far more times than we used the pickup bed!! And, we wanted to have the...

    Northwest Club Cruise

Interesting ... I used to belong to the Seattle Jag Club and we did a run to Mt St Helens using the roads along the eastern slope that was a gas!! Ken

    Bang and Olufsen opinion?

Let's just say this ... this B&O 985-watt system in our Explorer is FAR superior to the Sony we had in our F-150 Platinum. No comparison at all!! I love the sound ... but then again I listen mostly to classical (non-opera), sound tracks, etc. Star Wars sounds awesome!! :geek: Cheers!! Ken
