What Down pipes should i order?

Drivers side easy, passenger side sucks. Took me less than an hour on drivers and several hours on the passenger. Needed to get the heat shield off so I could get to the second nut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transmission flush?

I would do a double drain and refill instead. I never liked the flush machines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil life meter

Good synopsis. You certainly can go longer without risk but not with oil analysis. When I was in the diesel world I ran 10k oil changes but that was with oil analysis and a dual remote filter. Got 400k out of those trucks before getting rid of them. Completely agree on the 5k full synthetic...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

I believe dealers DO get paid to fix anything found in delivery. Now their warranty rate is lower than their shop rate so they do make less on warranty work. Still, no excuse to not check IMO. At my old business, we ran into a quality problem with one of our computerized tool manufacturers. I...

What Brake upgrades are available for stock wheel size?

I would agree with this 95% of the time. There are however some instances where a pad change can improve performance to some degree. I had full sized GM suvs for about twelve years. Brakes were underwhelming but I didn’t want a big brake kit as I was on business 3 year leases. I ran an upgraded...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

Can’t argue with that although I kind of hit the lottery as far as defects go. I remember decades ago buying new cars was a big deal for most dealers. Great vehicle prep and they went to great lengths to make the delivery pleasant. Now a days, few brands and dealers follow that path. I don’t...

Curvy roads with Lowering springs and swaybar upgrade experience

As unbroken said, springs, sway bar, and subframe bushing inserts really improve the suspension. Took a drive through Kentucky and Tennessee last month and it handled a lot better on the twisties! A blast to drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whistle sound when pressing on the gas pedal

Nice. Glad you got taken care of! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Expended Warranty

I got one at dealer cost. Lots of computers and shits expensive. As somebody that sold service contracts for 15 years I was usually dead set against it. Bought one for my 2018 2500 HD Denali. Had to replace a few items after original warranty. Power remote mirror was over $800 alone. Ended up...

    CarPlay Call Issue

I had a similar problem that turned out to be a failing cable. Would disconnect every once in a while. Good luck getting it solved! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Exhaust Sounds Through Speakers?

A little off topic but I saw a show where they installed Borla external speakers and amp on an electric mustang. Sounds like a V8 of course. IMO that would be way to embarrassing to drive[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Agree you would have to pull the crossmember to fab the new bushing in. For somebody with fab skills it does not look too hard to do but like mentioned, at that point the aviator crossmember is easier albeit more expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

You can definitely replace the whole crossmember with a 4 bolt so long as you have the second hole on the diff cover. I did this a couple years ago. As far as adding the 2nd bushing yourself, should not be a problem so long as you can get the 2nd bushing and have the 2 bolt diff cover or get...

    Code P051D

Should not have to. I have updated a number of modules. So long as it’s not the ecm you are gtg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    When is a tune needed.

IMO none of those mods require a tune. No problem waiting until you are done. That way you don’t need to run a log every time you add something. I did my tune with intake, exhaust, and intercooler. Then when I finally did the downpipes I ran a log and got an updated tune. Sent from my iPhone...

Time to hit the road again.

Your cheeks must hurt from that 40k. More times than not I found I had a shit eating grin in my face in the twisty high speed highway roads[emoji23]. Really impressed with the ST for what it is. Definitely a blast to drive with light traffic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transmission temp 195 F

I have never not checked automatic trans fluid at operating temp in any of the many vehicles over 45 years. My shop manual for my ST specifically states to get it up to operating temp. Per usual, we should all do what we think is best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
