A lot of import cars use mounts that screw into the tow hook hole…if you have the threaded insert you could look into one of those.

Definitely nothing wrong with that and lots of people have done it. You just have to do it right. The oem sub should be eliminated completely, the signal for the line out converter needs to come from the right place then quality gear and install quality makes all the difference.
