Ford has the fastest police vehicle in the country

I'm the one that made the radio comment, thought his reply was funny as hell. I guess he and I have the same BS filter setting. Ditto what sadden said.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Heat buildup a risk? How about stamping some louvers on it?

    Whipple intercooler

Makes sense. My biggest beef is the mileage on the car. Your way will keep it at a minimum. I worry about who and how it was driven before I bought it. Nice to have a dealership relationship as well.. thanks for the tip.

    Whipple intercooler

I think I remember you saying that a while ago. I didn't know that was a thing. I've never ordered a new vehicle. Just bought new off the lot. Will be buying another car next year, I'll try that.

GearHead I knew I liked you, I'm the same way. First thing I do when I buy a car, is remove the dealer's name or badging and license plate frame. Didn't pay 60k to be a traveling billboard. IC due next week. I'll try the carb cleaner and report back. Cheers

    Great to be here

A lot of us trying to help out. We all hope things get sorted out to your favor. Sounds like you are getting mixed signals from the dealership. Stop dealing with the service advisor. Some are knowledgeable others are not. Sounds like you are getting second hand information. Request a face...

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

The Steeda bar is rigid. No flex at all on the bench. No doubt the OE brace is fine for 99 percent of my driving. An added benefit with the Steeda brace is that it sits higher above the engine, access to the oil filter is a snap

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

Most likely not where you would notice. However once you take off the OEM brace you will see how easily it flexes. Just seeing the difference between OEM and the Steeda or FenFab bar causes me to believe it makes some difference. That, and the dress up factor makes for a worthy and easy...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

45 is the length but you can probably get by with shorter. The bar comes with a spacer and longer bolts, one for each end. Careful when installing. My sausage fingers let one slip. Almost lost it in the bowels of the engine. You'll need to find a specialty bolt place. In my case it was...

Can't go wrong with red. I went with the black cap bolts M8x1.25x25 and 45 for mounting. Gives it a nice finish. I know it most likely has little effect but you swear you can feel a difference once installed.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Was going to have it media blasted but after talking with the powder coating people I decided to leave as is. The blue pc filled in some of the texture. Real happy with the result. Completed the Steeda package, springs, rear sway bar and now this.

Steeda tower brace. Should be good for another 20 hp right?

    Just installed a Whipple intercooler.

Thank you Twin 001. I've read some stuff on the shutter slats. Think someone mentioned it threw a code fault when he removed them. Someone else just removed the slats, kept everything else in place and no code. I'm specifically referring to the flat plastic attached to the backside of the...

    Just installed a Whipple intercooler.

Hey Big J there are a couple of options other than Whipple. One has terrible ratings in customer service, and the other is almost ready for release. I've been watching as well but decided to spend the money and go with Whipple. I've heard no complaints from those that did. Just do a search...
