The biggest straightest exhaust is best?

As a note about the sales pitch on the exhaust tip - so what? You act like the whole time they did nothing but sling it. Did I say we should get them for the ST? ;) I would however note that if I spent all night digging through that thread to hear how ambient temps and other factors cause...

The biggest straightest exhaust is best?

I think some points are missed here. 1. Pressure differential is key to turbo operation - this is a fact, not a question 2. Although you can absolutely, incorrectly setup a larger exhaust, the statement I made is based on the assumption that a system is properly engineered 3. I have heard all...

Yea? they said what they actually *did*?

The biggest straightest exhaust is best?

You bet your a** it is. Laugh at the imports with 3" exhausts all you want, but if they're straight, made with good material, have good welds, and proper merges, the bigger the better. (Especially with turbos) Just in case you need educated:

    25 or 24/23?

I imagine Ford is bound by some deal Google has... I'm more than a little concerned if this is the case.

    Rear differential leaking

They would only press in from the back because you want the bushing to be locked into place when it is tightened down, otherwise, it could just slide out the other side over time. I dont know if it is somehow a hydraulic bushing (maybe earlier parts were and they moved away from it?), but if...

    Rear differential leaking

Sorry, I missed that it was 64, not 54. Busy day at work. Yea, it's true that something so costly getting a discount is a solid if youre out of warranty. Personally I get the extended warranty just for B.S. like this.

    Rear differential leaking

That's what I was thinking, which is maybe why they want to charge so much - they might be trying to replace the entire subframe instead of pressing the bushing out, if it is indeed a fluid-filled bushing.

    Rear differential leaking

This isn't covered under drivetrain warranty? That is insane - this is not a perishable part, and you're at 54K miles...

Certi2020 Ford explorer ST needs need motor

^ Oh, I understand, it just seemed like the idea that this motor can go almost instantly because of its setup, was being shot down. It' not one or the other, both are true. Giving people info on some of the symptoms they may experience is still important.

Certi2020 Ford explorer ST needs need motor

If a vehicle burns 1qt/1k miles, sell it, or enjoy your Model T. This engine is high pressure and is known to be able to explosively evacuate. (I would not say it is common, but it has happened.) Although many here are very experienced with engines, many have never been in a vehicle as it...

    Oddity with 2025 configurations

It might be the seat wrap options. A type of leather/inserts/etc that won't be offered in the bench seat, only in captain's chairs.

    Turbo "fin" removal?

Changing the restriction of the OEM air filter in the intake may help, A different airbox may help, but if you want that Fast and Furious "Tsss tss", you're looking for a blowoff valve. The OEM "Bypass valve" (or "recirc valve") pushes the bard-earned air charge back into the system, whereas the...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Indeed! It would be good to know if all the wiring is there though, then it should be as simple as enabling 360.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

The 360 setup utilizes front, rear, and mirror cameras. What you are missing are the mirrors, which would have been a problem with supply chain BS. I mean, there were Explorers with "2nd row climate deleted", but was only missing the controls module from the console, and people could simply...
