    I just don't know thread

Great story, enjoyed your post. Sounds like something that would have happened in my younger days. At my age, I only have about 10 seconds of fight left in me. LOL

Safe Jack Points under the vehicle

Lol Looks like something I would do. (y)

    WeatherTech BumpStep

We had one of these on the 2005 Explorer. A kid hit us and it did save our vehicle. These come in chrome or black, and are only $50.00.

    Cleaning Front Grill

As mentioned I use a small gas powered leaf blower to dry off the whole vehicle. You can spray the grille with a little detailer and microfiber towel each slot. (Took me 15 minutes to wax it the other day) It's a PIA but pretty when clean. I have a Raptor style grille in my F150 and it's the...

Defects and a Missing Part on Our ST

I’ve owned quite a few new Fords over the years, and none have had “perfect paint” from the factory. Overall, the paint looks pretty good on our ST. Ford has had too much going on all at once and quality has suffered. New platform, total re-tool of Chicago Assembly, and personnel issues has...

Defects and a Missing Part on Our ST

Here is another pic of the scratches on the right rear door . As stated, these are actually small and hard to see. I'm wondering what caused them as they are identical in shape. Maybe the bottom window trim install? Anyhow, the dealer ordered the missing guard piece and a Star White paint pen so...

Defects and a Missing Part on Our ST

Waxed the Explorer for the first time today. The first picture is the right rear splashguard. Found the left rear splashguard is missing. Wasn't put on at the factory ! Two disturbing body defects. Right front passenger door has a nice nick out of the edge of the door. Left rear door has a...

Thinking of buying a previous Buyback

What does Carfax show the buyback was for? Electrical? Transmission? Go to Cars.com or Autotrader.com and type in for a used Explorer ST, lowest price. You'll find a bunch of buybacks on there.

    FordPass

I'm going to use the points on a transmission service on my F150. [thumb] You can get an additional 1000 points by signing up for a dealer on Fordpass.

    Post crash results

There is a lot of damage to your ST. Not counting the structural damage, about everything on there has at least road rash on it and will have to be replaced.

Glad She's OK. Looks as if you'll be getting a new ST.

FS WTS/WTT Explorer ST 20” rims and tires. Rims powder-coated black professionally.

Those look really good on your Explorer. My plan is to have my set powder coated, then I'm painting the calipers a bright red.

    It finally happened............

Hopefully it’s something simple. A battery going bad can cause all kind of gremlins to pop up.

How many miles did your Explorer ST have when you bought it?

Same here, 400 miles on the odo. Had to drive to find one without a moonroof.

    Can't decide, ST or Platinum?

I think that I like the black trim a little better on the ST. The horsepower difference and handling is a plus also.

    Good deal or Not?

Welcome to the forum. Seems I'm on here every day. I've never leased so don't know a lot about it. Curious, do you plan on buying the vehicle after the lease?

    2021 Explorer ST won't start

I would imagine that the starter motor is a supplier part, Ford buys them from another company. More than likely a defective starter from the get go.

    Rear hatch motion sensitivity

The hatch opened on me at the coin-op carwash yesterday. Using a brush around the exhaust tips. Then there's the times I'm standing on one leg, swinging the other leg back and forth trying to get it to open. lol
