Confirmed the FP tune is designed to handle ALL octanes. Performance of the tune calibrations are modulated by the octane. The engineers I spoke to were surprised & confused by the information about the risk of holes in pistons. Installing it yourself does not void any warranty. If an issue...

It took me 15 minutes, do it yourself. They have to prove the tune was installed incorrectly to void the warranty.

Forgive me if this was already mentioned in this thread but did anyone else notice after loading the new FP calibration it also included the software that auto activates the Parking Brake at every "P" selection?........this is driving me nuts after 1 day. You dont need a parking brake on a flat...

Loaded the FP tune today but unfortunately I had filled up day before with 87.......regardless still a significant improvement in acceleration out of the hole, entering onto Freeway big difference, especially shifting. Apparently the calibration to cover spark across all octanes plus shift...

That dealership is not being truthful. You don't need a DTC message to get warranty repair on a known TSB. Call Ford Corporate and go to another dealership.

Might be a bit snapier but very minor, still have that ridiculous start up lag where you cant touch anything or it locks up. I still cannot believe they won't power up the APIM on remote start with radio off until ignition cycle.

I still cant see or notice a change in anything with this new update.

Dont most routers give you the ability to broadcast your WiFi in 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz at the same time and the devices that can only use one or the other use the appropriate network.

I have also had success updating the Ford servers with install confirmation by using the WiFi connection and hitting "Check For Updates"

And that right there is another example of the ridiculous complexity Ford builds into its multimedia systems. No other OEM has these issues. Where is that SYNC3 update that got released last year, non existent yet again.

I must not be doing it right then because over the past few years I have never had a SYNC update work when using a MacBook or any MacOS device. I always switch to Windows and it works first time everytime.

I bought the Ford OEM cargo area mat. I don't like it and wish I hadn't purchased it. It's made of hard plastic so everything you put on it slides all over the place. Its ribbed so its not flat to lay things on. When it came in the box it was rolled up and the plastic kinks never sprung back...
