Larger Throttle Body for 2020+ Explorer ST

If someone tells me the diameter of the ST throttle body, I'll be glad to to the demonstrate the math behind my posts.

Larger Throttle Body for 2020+ Explorer ST

I understand what you're saying, but you're still missing the point. A small amount of additional air density by increasing the turbo psi (air density) will far exceed a few more millimetres of throttle body diameter. Once again, if you have an N/A vehicle, enlarging a restrictive throttle...

    Smoking on startup after sitting

I also have an inclined driveway and my car is pointed uphill whenever I park. I've owned the ST for 18 months now and have never encountered any smoking issues.

    Best tunes???

De nada (Google translate isn't much help)

    Best tunes???

He is working with BoostKing via SCT for a custom 93 octane tune. The results are excellent as is BoostKing's customer service. He has also tuned the trans shifting

    Front camera activation

That's an interesting feature, and a neat use of the tech. I doubt it's something that could be enabled on the ST.

Voodoo just dropped a intercooler w/BOV and intake?

Just curious, what happened to the car?

Voodoo just dropped a intercooler w/BOV and intake?

I couldn't see contents of the link- that was all I could find with google detective work. OP should update.

I don't have a facebook account- nor will I. Nevertheless, knock yourself out https://www.facebook.com/100368021545863/posts/custom-intercooler-and-charge-pipes-available-from-voodoo-autosport-ran-150mph-t/168443551404976/

    Brake Upgrade

The street pack brakes are actually pretty damn good. I did some looking awhile back, and the 70-0 distance (161 ft) are equivalent to some pretty nice performance cars (Bugatti Chiron, 2019 Audi RS 6 and 2006 Corvette Z06!) But that's stopping one time. On a track, heat soak is the enemy...

Larger Throttle Body for 2020+ Explorer ST

Just to illuminate further, a throttle body bolts onto a manifold that has a fixed input diameter- if you have a 60mm manifold opening, adding an 80mm throttle body isn't going to do a thing. In an N/A vehicle, which is basically supercharged by gravity, and therefore at sea level limited to...

Larger Throttle Body for 2020+ Explorer ST

I've got a beautiful TB with twin 2.5" intakes. I'll take $500 for it. Shipping's on you. Seriously, a throttle body, (unless it's ridiculously undersized) in a turbo'd vehicle is not going to net any great HP gains...regardless of what any vendor tells you.

NEW Product : WHIPPLE Stage 1 package (intercooler, air filter, tune) *50 state legal!

Just an FYI, Livernois is also about to offer an intercooler: https://fordauthority.com/2021/10/ford-3-0l-ecoboost-v6-intercooler-coming-from-livernois-motorsports-sema-2021/ Still waiting for the Mishimoto version to surface.

    2022 Driveline Vibration 37-42MPH

You have a 2022, right? But here is something that brought up my comment- may be others. https://fordauthority.com/2020/11/2...-aviator-recalled-over-defective-driveshafts/ It's just strange that it's only at that particular speed. Generally, anything out of balance that's speed related...

    2022 Driveline Vibration 37-42MPH

If it occurs in multiple different gears (different RPMs) at the same speed, it's unlikely it's trans related, but could be a driveshaft problem or a wheel out of balance. Does the problem recur at any higher speeds? Ford has had some problems with driveshafts.

    Engine flush at 13k miles

Call it "upselling" if you want, but it's really a scam. Don't take your car back there for an oil change ever. I hit one of these places years ago- their big "upsell" was transmission flushes. I'll never forget the young manager telling me how much a trans flush would make my car last...

Anyone tried the 22" wheel from the 13-14 edge sport on their ST

You're a bit obsessed with those wheels, aren't you? By the time you have the bores resized, the lugs rebored, and the barrels modified you'll have the most expensive Edge wheels ever! Please let us know how it works out.

    aFe Momentum GT CAI

Why does every "note" say OE intake? I'd have to say all of those runs are within the realm of statistical differences between runs and don't show anything substantive. I'm not suggesting that the intake might not allow more airflow, but that dyno doesn't show anything. Any real changes...

    RWD ST

Let's face it, until we have one of the RWDs broken in and running, we're all just guesstimating. But, I'd contend that completely stock there's more than 2/10s between them. There's probably 2/10s just in the weight differential, and there's at least another 1/10 in driving all the AWD...
