Limits of stock turbos HP wise

The mass airflow number is independent of the fuel. If you take a look at the dyno torque curve of a tuned car, you can easily see peak torque at or before 3000 rpm- meaning peak boost has been reached and wastegates are opening. That is clue one as to turbine wheel/housing size which is one...

2022 Wireless Charger too small for some phones

Did I mention her Fook Mi 8.6 phone doesn't use the entire screen? Even after I bought the requisite Dunderbolt 6.0 cable combined with the wireless Intel C.6 HDMI cable (Ebay) combined with the Android Naxmi interface box ($800)? I also bought a wireless charging 24" laptop which doesn't fit...

ZFG 93 Tune - Order placed!

Yes, that will make a big difference...not. Assuming this could be done in any time frame beyond his presidency, that just means corn prices will rise. So you'll be paying for lower gas prices with higher food prices. Perhaps the Magical Ethanol Fairy will simply appear to fix the problem...

High flow cats Vs cattless downpipes

Although I don't have a carpeted driveway, I'm sure the loss of that Monarch was a relief.

2022 Wireless Charger too small for some phones

I bought my ST and my girlfriend's ass doesn't fit in the seat; even when she's wearing her smallest dress. So the passenger seat is worthless. Not to mention the mirror isn't big enough to show her entire face so she can't apply her necessary makeup when driving. Not to mention her Gucci...

High flow cats Vs cattless downpipes

Quit buying into the hype of vendors selling "catless" downpipes. This isn't 1976, and they aren't as restrictive as they were then. Especially if those "hi performance catless pipes" are just tubes with no diffuser section post turbine and no abrupt change in angle to take the vortex...

Limits of stock turbos HP wise

You'll get plenty of opinions on this subject- here's mine, and these numbers have been documented many times. With an absolutely stock ST, a good 93 tune (ZFGRacing) can provide you with about 440 AWD hp, up from about 340 stock. (YMMV). That will put you into the low 12s in the 1/4 if you...

    malfunction brake system

Just for grins, if you think the parking brake diagnosis is simple, you would not believe how many sensors are involved. Check this out: https://www.foexplorer.com/ford_explorer_description_and_operation_parking_brake_system_operation_and_component_description-547.html If you bother to look...

    Best Outdoor Car Cover

I'm not sure about a bit of wind, but a friend and I attended a car show with his 68 Hurst Olds back in the mid '90s. He had an open trailer and used a car cover on the car. We arrived after 10 hours and the next morning when we took the cover off, we found several spots on the car that were...

Loss of Power today, No boost

A quick turn accompanied by acceleration could cause a low-oil level or loss of oil pressure event. Certainly some things might trigger a "protect components" strategy. It probably resolved itself after no re-occurrences over a certain time period. Please report back on what Adam comes up with.

Loss of Power today, No boost

The ST uses vacuum wastegates driven from a pump. That means the wastegates can be opened under command of the ECU at any time. You're sure there are no DTCs despite not having the CEL lit? I would initially suspect some other non-critical issue triggered a protection strategy- which still...

    catalytic converter anti theft cover

No worries, it would be EXTREMELY difficult for anyone to steal ST converters due to location. It's more likely some fool might take your H-pipe thinking it was a cat!

    A different parking brake issue...

Maybe I missed your intent, but you pull up on the 'button' to set the brake and push down to release it.

    e85 and 89 octane mix

To expand upon what @UNBROKEN wrote, ethanol and gasoline have different timing and air/fuel ratios. While the ECU can compensate for some of this while you're just tooling down the road, with a tune should you go out and beat on it you're asking for trouble. It's not just an octane number.

    Platinum

What do you base this on? Torsen isn't a "locking" diff. Any stability control I'm aware of is using g-force and the differential of the ratio of inside vs outside wheel speed sensors during cornering. Neither the former nor the latter is affected by a Torsen LSD. You're right, the different...
