If the dealer damaged the pinch welds or plastic trim around them and you can easily prove it just happened and they did it, then you go through the dealer. Tell them what happened and MAKE them fix it. It's not an insurance issue if the dealer did it. If the dealer won't fix their damage then...

The buyback process is completely through Ford Mo Co and will have nothing to do with going through your dealer. You will need to contact Ford customer service and tell them you want to start the process of a buyback.

Is everyone getting the root issues here- Bull$hit Software. We are all having issue after issue after issue with software problems. Over-complication and over-sophistication of vehicles is not how it should be. This adds to higher vehicle costs with a hell of a lot more owner frustration.
