    Turbo Upgrade! Market Research

The upgrades I have in mind would be Factory location Factory frame turbos. Of course I would love to do some G Series turbos, but that's a ways out. Just to clear up a couple other things the Nano platform does not actually have exhaust manifolds the turbo was both directly to the heads. So...

Explorer ST e50 tune only draggy 1/4 mile run

Not sure it's possible, but if you bought a tune we could try messing with it. You'd have to get an mpvi2 though. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Explorer ST Performance Tuning thread

Piggy backs really are not a great idea on the ecoboost, it throws everything off and you'll end up with too much boost and not enough timing. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Explorer ST e50 tune only draggy 1/4 mile run

I guess I didn't understand why you wanting it. Right now isn't not possible to get a "2 step for effect". They may be a way to trick the ecu into doing it but it's probably not practical. Yes there is a park neutral rev limter. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Explorer ST e50 tune only draggy 1/4 mile run

It's not needed honestly, you can hit a lot off boost on the foot brake. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Explorer ST e50 tune only draggy 1/4 mile run

I would expect 25-50hp yes. It makes the biggest difference on the back half of the track. After 2 or 3 gears e50 timing starts to fall off, and you start to lose power. The extra evaporative cooling of E85 helps you maintain peak power for an entire quarter mile pass. One good example, in the...

    Borla Exhaust Upgrade

You will not gain any power from the exhaust without a tune. The St employees a torque based strategy. When you push the pedal regenerates and torque request and then the ECU sort out how much airflow it takes to meet that torque request under the given conditions. So if you did pick up any air...

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

Gains would be limited to around 30-40 hp do to your altitude. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

Well I recommend hp tuners with myself tuning ;) but there are a few tuners out there. The borla attak is sounds better on this then any other exhaust on any other EcoBoost. I can do a package deal if you are interested! [email protected] Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

Okay, unfortunately there really isn't anything to gain on 87 octane as power goes. Trans tune can be done and overall "feel" can be changed but if you want to make more power you'll need 93 octane or e50. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Turbo Upgrade! Market Research

Who is going to be interested in turbo upgrades? I have a couple of vendors that work closely with and both are looking understand how much interest there is in upgrading turbos. The cost of the upgrade would likely be $2000-$3000 and will likely net 50-100 hp. Who would be in for this type...

E85! HPFP upgrades! who is ready to make some power?

Hey guys! Who has some serious interest in running e85? Although we do offer e50 tunes there is still power left on the table, especially on the big end of the track. and if you don't like mixing this is for you! Xtreme DI offers 2 different HPFP fuel pumps for the ST The HPFP-35 (specially...

Explorer ST e50 tune only draggy 1/4 mile run

It will get there, I have some other customers that have more mods that should push right past this. There is a decent amount of power on the table yet, going from e50 to e85. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Totally agree. I'm just saying from a performance standpoint that's the path you want to take but I agree in the borla sounds very nice on these! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Whipple Intercooler

That's 100% what I'm saying. Gains from exhaust and intakes are minimal, much like every other EcoBoost. The intercooler and quality fuel are very important. This is the order of things I would use. Tune (on e50 if you can) Intercooler High Pressure fuel pump (so you can run e85) 95% of the...

    Lowered yesterday!

Fordparts.com doesn't give you the entire part number... the 2020 explorer st part number is LB5Z-5310-A the 2019 Explorer Sport Part number is DB5Z-5310-K So they are not the same, my guess is they are very similar but the spring rates are different.

    Whipple Intercooler

There are slowly coming out, I've been feeling out vendors for months to see what is coming. I'm really hopping to get AMS to support this platform. A tune and an intercooler are the 2 most important things you can do right away. The stock intercooler heat soaks very easily. I've seen manifold...

    ST Tune

Whomever you choose, I highly recommend getting an HP Tuners MPVI2 instead of the ngauge. The Ngauge is very lack luster when it comes to data logging. It's great for flashing of the shelf tunes, but if you want something truly custom you want an MPVI2. If anyone else is still looking, I have...
