Rear axle bolt recall # 23S55 issues

Are you sure that loud noise wasn't a "tink" noise? These vehicles make all kinds of noise due to the axle shaft splines seizing in the wheel hub. Mine went from occasionally doing it when shifting from D to R and only noticeable in a confined space (parking garage) to going tink tink tink...

    AFE Momentum-Remove plastic cover

Like clockwork, you can set your watch to it ;). Just an overly generalized explanation, of course.

    AFE Momentum-Remove plastic cover

The air intake temp sensor is on the air intake. If you've ever changed your own air filter, it's right there, you gotta unplug it. Heat introduced by the turbos is due to compressing the air, not necessarily from the temperature of the turbos themselves. The intercooler negates that...

I think OP meant "Anybody have these code before while running CVF catted downpipes".

    2025 ST

That's where the smoke is. Don't let it out. Holdover from the Ford+Land Rover days.

Remote (FOB) start not working 2022 ST

So wait, the FOB wasn't working because you weren't hitting the lock button before double hitting the start button? The FOB doesn't know if the vehicle is already locked or not, it just knows it doesn't send out a start signal until the proper sequence is followed.

Picture thread: Post pics of your past favorite rides

My first "fast" car. By the time I got rid of it, the headliner was hanging down, the door panels were coming apart, and it had eaten the timing chain guides. Truck is mine too, still own it. She's special. I loved this car. More roomy than the Explorer (my head touches the headliner)...

    Copilot-360/Adaptive Cruise Control vs. BlueCruise

With the nature of roads in North Texas being in a constant state of construction, expansion, modification, lanes are always being changed and shifted right or left. There are plenty of areas where lane markers have been erased or ground away but the lane keeping system still picks it up and...

Need Help Finding a Reliable Workshop Repair Manual

A lot of folks use this, it's hosted online and fairly easy to navigate. Downside is it seems to only cover models with the 2.3L engine. Not too big of a problem since most other components are shared across models. https://www.foexplorer.com/ford_explorer_2020_service_manual-382.html Then...

    So whose ST was this?

I would think so. I don't think it would have been repaired without the donor vehicle parts. Doesn't specify in the description. The site is being weird with embedded videos.

    Playing CDs

I can't imagine a way to play CD on that system. You're probably going to need to rip the songs off the CDs and put them on a USB.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

While the skid plate is a little heavy and unwieldy, it mostly had to do with not being able to fit under the vehicle. I could only get under from the front and had to fully extend one arm to hold the skid plate up while starting the threads on the bolts towards the front. Even with the...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Finally got around to installing the skid plate. Easy job while simultaneously a huge pain in the ass.

Door panel removal/installation is not rocket science. If they get an OEM part, let them replace it.

2025 Trans Slamming into 3rd (sometimes)

Not sure if it's 3rd gear, but mine consistently does it on acceleration and deceleration. It's more noticeable on deceleration, always makes the whole vehicle slightly jerk as I'm coming to a stop. Occasionally as I'm accelerating, say getting up to a 45 or 50 mph speed limit, I'll let off...

    Car repair this time

An electrical ground. A disconnected or poorly connected electrical ground can cause all sorts of issues. I wouldn't know if there is any wiring associated with replacing a seat that would effect the headlights.
