I fell in love as soon as I saw mine with the 21 inch black wheels and red calipers. Most of my friends who are not even into cars compliment my wheels and brakes. One even said no other trim of the Explorer looks as good as the ST with the street pack.

Explorer has much cheaper parts cost and the insurance cost is really low too. I pay about $700 per year for my ST. I went from a 7 year old Lincoln MKZ with 80K miles to a brand new ST and the cost was almost the same!

People need to read the manual maybe just once to get the most of their fully equipped vehicle! There are features you don't even know you have unless you look. I absolutely LOVE auto-hold and this is my first vehicle with that. Most everything else I've had on my last couple Lincolns.

Your parking brake should still auto release like before the recall.

Good news for me is this is the third summer with the ST and the door and dash creaking is almost completely gone on its own.

You have to go into display setup which is below settings in menus and uncheck km/h. If you scroll up and down there are several menu items besides settings which is only the oil life.

It's for if you run out of gas and need to use a gas can or if you want to add gas treatment in a bottle. The pump nozzle doesn't need the plastic funnel. I guess you've never owned a Ford with EasyFuel capless fuel tank. This is my third Ford with it.

Theres a limit to how long the trip odo goes on the Explorer. Mine reset several times on its own since I bought it 28,500 miles ago. Oddly it resets the mileage but not the time or MPG automatically. There are so many weird electronic glitches. Mine also shows oil life from 100% to 97% then...

For me recent software updates fixed the audio and all Sync issues. The camera on mine had to be replaced. The software update in the recall did not work in the long-term.

All Fords with the EasyFuel capless fueling system have used that funnel for about the last 15 years. If you don't use that funnel most of the gas or whatever you're adding will spill out. I agree! Such a simple thing to update in the software.

The other thing that can happen is after auto start if the fob got pushed in your pocket getting in, the engine turned off. So obviously you can intentionally turn off the engine by just pushing the start button.

I use the fob 99% of the time because it's so much faster than FordPass. I use the app mostly for checking oil life and tire pressure or if I'm not sure if I locked it when my remote is out of range. It's also great to check up on your dealer to see if the car is actually being serviced or just...

Only happened to me if I accidentally hit the start button a third time instead of just twice.

My loud music covers up most of the annoying noises this vehicle is plagued with. The drivers seat noise bothers me the most because I can feel and hear it.

I found that in mostly city driving the on-board estimated MPG is 10% more optimistic but on mostly highway driving the estimate was closer to reality within 1 MPG or less.
