Honks and Chimes, Cool Vibes and Fun Times...

I recommend a 2003 Explorer Sport (if there was one) and a 2003 Motorola Flip Phone. Problems solved. LOL

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

My MSRP was 60K (which included every option available) and I paid 52K with discounts in 2019 so I think I got a pretty good deal! Also in the 2021 MY, Ford removed the windshield wiper de-icer, console lights inside the 2 bins and front camera washer according to posters on this forum. So most...

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

I'd rather have all the features I got in 2020 than a newer ST with a lot of decontenting especially the current model year. Hope the refresh is worth a trade-in and also the deleted features come back. I'm seriously thinking of keeping my 2020 ST and purchasing a 7-8 year ESP warranty...

    Real world mpg

In my part of Maryland, my average at 28,000 miles is 18.6 MPG and my average MPH is barely 24 miles per hour. D.C. metro traffic is the worst! A few weeks ago, I went to the shore and averaged 22.5 MPG on a 250 mile trip at mostly highway speeds which is pretty decent.

    4WD Fault Service Required

Still love mine warts and all! My repairs were fixed right the first time and wasn't in the shop more than 10 days each time. So lemon law didn't apply.

    4WD Fault Service Required

I have all of the above plus clutch, fuel pump, battery, rear camera and rear glass replacement since 2020.

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

If the Explorer King Ranch with the 3.0 V6 were available in 2019 I would have preferred that interior over the ST interior. The exterior of the ST in almost any color looks more attractive than most SUV's in its class! Every time I look back at my parked ST, I get a smile on my face! On the...

What kind of washer fluid are you using

When I have the low fluid message I can usually fill with an entire gallon of washer fluid to the top of the nozzle.

    Weird drive and dash

You were in another drive mode? Maybe Deep Snow/Mud or Trail? Slippery, Eco, Sport and Tow would not do that.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I had 3 punctures in less than 18 months. Two were near the sidewall and had to be replaced and one was repaired. I only had to pay for one tire because the first was during the first 12,000 miles new tire warranty road hazard protection.

2022 Wireless Charger too small for some phones

Same here if I'm far from home and need a fast charge I plug it in the back. I used to do the same in my 2013 MKZ which also had an AC outlet in the back seat.

2022 Wireless Charger too small for some phones

It's convenient if you're driving a couple hours and want to fully charge it without digging around for a fast charger and plugging it in. My biggest pet peeve is on hard braking it falls forward and stops charging and also getting out of the car and going inside forgetting your digital...

    Sun shade recommendations

I always use remote start to cool it down.

    Sun shade recommendations

I've never used one of those and my dash has never cracked if that's what the concern is. Then again I've never kept a car more than 8 or 9 years.

    Phone Call Echo

Most people who had this myself included resolved this with updating the Sync 3 software.

2022 Wireless Charger too small for some phones

I recently had a loaner 2019 Edge ST and my phone was too small for the wireless charging pad so it would move around and not charge at all when driving. My 3 year old Samsung S10+ fits perfectly in my Explorer's charging pad. Only complaint is under hard braking, falls forward and stops charging.

    2020 clone (Lancaster Ca)

I was in a small town, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for the weekend and I was one of 3 ST's. One was a 2020 identical to mine with Delaware tags and the other was a black one with black and red Ford logos front and back. There's one identical to mine in my small town who drives by my house from time...

    A different parking brake issue...

Pull up to engage brake. Rarely need to push to disengage. It automatically disengages when you put in gear and press the gas. Nice feature! My 2013 Lincoln MKZ had the same thing but annoyingly you had to have your seatbelt on for it to automatically release the brake.

Remote Features Disabled - almost daily notice

Lucky you! I have a 11/19 build with new fuel pump at 11,000 miles, new battery at 18,500, new clutch and back camera at 25,000 miles and new rear glass due to peeling defroster element. I have no mods and drive gently daily rarely going over 75 mph.

Remote Features Disabled - almost daily notice

Mine needed a new battery at less than 1.5 years or 19,000 miles.
