Ditto. Stick to good brand names and you are GTG. I usually run Mobil 1 but I have no issue using others.

Looks like most are 5W-30.

I prefer a higher HTHS. With the EcoBoost being prone to fuel dilution (viscosity falling out), plus a tune that increases cylinder pressures, my engine will stay on 0W-40 or 5W-40. I like the extra "insurance".

None of the tuners recommend doing so, so I’ll stick to what Ford recommended and tuners found no need to change.

Excellent choice as HTHS will be at least 3.5 being a A3/B4 spec.

I switched to that one due to my oil test results on other oils. I will be sticking with it for the foreseeable future.

I went 40 on my Coyotes, but I beat those cars. Going to have Speed Diagnostics perform a couple of samples on the Explorer before I do anything else. It's a daily driver.

Mobile 1 ESP 5w30 with a 3.5 HTHS has given me the best results. The ESP 0w30 apparently has better base oils and some esters but I have not tried it yet.

The Motorcraft 5w30 syn broke down under a 5w20 in less than 5k miles.
