TPMS Keeps Going out and in

Last weekend one of the sensors came up with a fault and stopped sensing on my 2020. It is 6 years old. Glad to hear that it is likely the battery dead in the sensor and not some other issue. Surprised they only last around 5 years. My 2019 Fusion sensors are still working fine, though I...

Upgrade front brake system from 345 to 363 with Ford parts.

The brake shields are also different, but have read the ones for the smaller brakes can be modified to fit. They are not simple to swap from what I've read.

    Help with Purchase

One other change: Active Park Assist was deleted in 2025 as either standard or an option. Was available from 2020-2024.

    2026 Order banks open!

Looked at the order guide and just see that the "Wireless Charger Credit" has been deleted. I see this was an "option" in 2025 when the feature was not available. Don't know why they would get rid of the charger, at least on higher trim levels, when they specifically designed the dash for it.

    Help with Purchase

Here is a post I made a while back on differences which should get you started. The entire thread should be helpful. Was ready to buy 2022 ST but had issue with perimeter sensors…..year ?? | Explorer ST Forum One change to note for 2026 is it sounds like they are getting rid of the opening...

Was ready to buy 2022 ST but had issue with perimeter sensors…..year ??

My best advice is to do a lot of reading on this site. Lots of info on changes during the years. But don't get scared when you hear of problems. Those are actually the small minority. Rarely do you see people posting saying their vehicle is perfect and great, which is the majority, only when...

    10 vs 14 speaker B&O on 2025 - worth it?

For reference, here are links to info on the B&O system in the 2020 to 2024 model years: Ford Explorer B_O_2022_Explorer_English_US.pdf I'm guessing they moved the speakers from the doors to the "fabric-wrapped acoustic sound bar" on the dash.

    Oily oil pan

I would say yes that the plug is not fully screwed in. There is a definite stop when it is fully screwed into the pan, and you will feel a slight snap when you unscrew it. I screw mine in by hand but have to use pliers to get it loosened. As for one time use, I would say no. They are pretty...

    Passive entry/intelligent access issue....

The passive entry system is one of the first things that glitches when the battery is going bad. Voltage drops too low and they start to work erratically. A problem related to other models as well, such as the Fusion. That would be the first thing I would have the dealer check.

CLOSED: MAPQUEST Wrong (Current) Location on my 2025 Ford Explorer...

Ford really dumbed down the location option on FordPass. A year or so ago it would give you essentially live updates of the vehicle location when you refreshed the screen. With one of the last updates, it only shows the "last" location and don't think it updates until you restart the vehicle...

    2025 St update

2nd that on the first year of redesigns, and not just Fords. Usually best to get the year after the redesign, or at least a late production first year. My dad bought an early production 1995 Mercury Mystique and it was plagued with recalls and issues. By mid-year Ford made some changes to...

    Roof Rails

For the ST, roof rails were standard for 2020, optional in 2021 and 2022, then standard again in 2023 and 2024 according to the order guides. Probably made optional due to the pandemic for some reason. The crossbars were always accessories. I have read a thread about an owner taking their...

2025 Ford Explorer ST engine dies as soon as I put in gear

Could it have something to do with the security system and not recognizing the key fob? When you say the push button start will not work and you have to use the key fob to start it, and when you say it shuts off when you put it into drive, sounds like it is not seeing the fob. Have you tried...

Just picked up a 2025 ST and some questions

When this generation came out in 2020, the seats and 14 speaker B&O were in a separate Technology package, along with the larger touchscreen. The sunroof was a stand-alone option on the ST. So it is nothing new. I can definitely see that the seats would not be wanted by everybody and just...

    21 ST Vibration and noise

Don't ever rule out tires as a source of noise or vibration, even though they may not have many miles on them or are not that old. Over the years, have had many issues with tires in both areas. Have had balancing issues many times with different brands either from the installer not doing it...
