Has anyone had success disabling the fake engine noise (FENG) on 2025 with a Job 2+ build date, or 2026 models?

Been doing a lot of research and am planning on buying a 2025 or 2026 ST in the near future. I've read that people are having mixed success with disabling FENG on 2025's with Job 2 or newer build dates. It's my biggest reservation/worry about getting the vehicle, as if I don't like it I want to be able to turn it off. I would just get a low mileage '24 where I know you can turn it off in Forscan, but I want the '25 or '26 for the horizontal screen and especially bluecruise. Some people have reported that in the 14 speaker B&O sound system package the FENG is a lot less pronounced. Any feedback from people who were able to turn it off in 2025 Job 2 or newer and 2026 models is greatly appreciated.

No workarounds yet. It’s odd.

Is there a way to physically unplug the module? or will that mess with active noise cancelation as well. I see there's instructions to change it on the 2025 spreadsheet, but I guess those just don't work for Job 2 or newer? I really want to buy this car, but I'm trying to locating a black job 1 2025 with low mileage and there aren't many examples within 300 miles of me. Is the FENG pretty quiet in normal/eco to the point where I could get used to it? I've heard its a lot quieter in eco/normal. I think it sounds good in sport its just something about it being fake that bothers me.

Well if you unplug the module, the car might not even drive lol. It’s the Body Control Module. FENG really isn’t bad, a lot of people make it worse out than it actually is. I dare say it is not even bad.

Well I definitely want to still be able to drive it! lol. Yeah I guess it's just the mental reservation of knowing it's fake, I actually think it sounds awesome from the videos I've been watching. As you probably already know it's not just ford doing it as well, even high performance cars like the BMW M5 are doing it.

I love everything about the car I guess I'm just scared about getting it and not being able to turn that off, but the looks, performance, and driving assistance features are all so good I'm sure I could get over the FENG quick, especially because I actually like how it sounds. I've heard it's a lot quieter in Eco mode as well. I've also seen on this forum people say they thought it was way too quiet turned off, and ended up turning FENG back on.

It's not that bad. I thought it was going to be worse but I don't think it's a reason not to get the vehicle.

Don’t tell anyone, but I actually like FENG. It’s not horrible at all, absolutely don’t think it’s a deal breaker.

Would you say the FENG just enhances the sound, as in the engine without FENG sounds similar just with a lot less induction/bass and rumble. I saw a video of the F150 Raptor with the ecoboost and it sounded similar with FENG on vs off, just enhanced with bass and rumble, or would you say it creates a completely artificial sound that is in no shape or form reminiscent of what the 3.0 ecoboost actually sounds like. Enhancing what was already there just adding bass/rumble is a lot easier to stomach than something completely artificial.
