AWE Definitely has better looking tips and sounds a bit softer/deeper tone at startup. They are very similar to my ears but AWE looks sick with the larger tips.
Who wants softer - maybe GrandMa’ not me …

The first aftermarket exhaust systems for the Ford Explorer ST were released shortly after the vehicle's debut, with
Thermal R&D and Borla being among the very first to offer cat-back options. Borla slightly behind Thermal on debut dates. Effectively making Thermal the “King” of ST exhausts

Softer as in not so raspy but to each his own. Not trying to sway you one way or the other because you clearly have your mind made up just saying some people like one and others like the other.

Don’t ask google shit it doesn’t know. Borla was way before Thermal. I had my own 3” system completed in Nov 2020, well before Thermal and well after Borla came to market. Borla being the only option is why I built my own 3” back then. The Thermal 3” came almost 2 years later.

If you say so, seems to be important, so whatever you say

It’s not “whatever you say”…it’s how it happened. I’ve been building these since they came out…back when we were just hoping the aftermarket would start supporting them. Thermal was not before Borla…that’s just a fact.

Sure thing, not what I was told - but we can go with what you say, thanks for the input

You can make all the snarky posts you want, doesn’t change anything. I know we live in a world where nobody admits, they are wrong, but you’re wrong. You could just say “OK I messed up“

“Accusations of snarky posts” all I’m doing is agreeing with you to calm you down and stating that it’s not what I was told. This seems rather personal for you, why is that?
