Hey everyone,
In my previous thread, I was advised to start with just the intercooler upgrade first without getting the full pipe kit, which sounds like the best approach for me right now.
As a newcomer to the platform, I’m currently deciding between:
CVF Performance (currently on sale for $810 on Lethal Performance)
Steeda ProFlow ($899)
Whipple Mega Cooler ($1,095)
At this point, I'm mainly leaning toward either the CVF at $810 or the Steeda at $899.
Steeda explicitly advertises that their intercooler retains the factory Active Grille Shutters (AGS). Does the CVF Performance also allow you to keep the active shutters fully functional without trimming or removal, just like the Steeda?
Also, I did some research and found that the Steeda unit is reportedly just a rebadged Whipple Mega Cooler, meaning Whipple actually manufactures these intercoolers for Steeda. Can anyone confirm if this is 100% true in practice? If so, is there any reason at all to pay the extra $200 for the Whipple branding?
