Shame on me for bringing politics into this. Sorry.
@Dale5403 : DO NOT BE SORRY!!! There are longtime Republicans and numerous Democrats here in CA that hate him for what he has done to this state. DO NOT BE SORRY!!!

NO offense taken.

Tennessee folks are paying approx $3.00 for regular south of Nashville.

Yep. I don't let any of mine get below half a tank. 93 Octane in mine. It went up from 3.50 to 3.90 in 3 days time. 3 of mine run on regular, the other 3 take premium.

I've got 2 on 87 and 2 on premium.

My wife has a '24 CRV. Boring to drive but runs on 87 and gets almost 40 MPG. Been using that lately when I need to make a drive. ST is sitting at 19 MPG. My right foot might be to blame for that. ;)

$4.60 for a fill up today. :(

@Mustang5L5 : Double Roger That!!

Our other (2) two cars are "Tree Huggers" of the Toyota variety. My 100,200 mile 2017 Prius V (station wagon) gets about the same MPG as your wife's Honda and both of ours cars run on 87 oct. Not sure if I will ever get any super distance mileage with my ST but have met a Taxi Guy in LVN and an Uber at Disneyland whose Prius V cars both had well over 300,000 driving miles on them. I am pretty sure her Honda will do the same. :cool:

Paid $4.90 /gallon for Exxon 93 today........can I mix octanes? Am really trying to conserve gas by using ECO Mode and a light touch on the pedal, backing off slightly at speed and then adjusting to hold it.....kind of fun, actually. Would be nice to mix with cheaper octanes as a "blend"?

Yes...near Rockville. This is going to suck for a while.....any idea if we can effectively mix 87 with 93 and trim off some of the cost, or is it worth doing/harmful?

I paid $4.90 for premium the other day

I did have to make a 200-300 mile drive for work. Pulled up to the pump and figured since I was just cruising at 75 in eco mode anyway I threw some 89 octane in.

My choice of octane is 93 in all my cars. Explorer ST, S650 GT Mustang, Lexus RX 350. Why go for less than the manufacturer says is best.
