Send me another log with video so i can listen with head phones as it doesn't really come through on the phone speaker, and I'll look at the actual knock thresholds to see if your calibration is different than others, I don't typically go into that but do know it's changed over time. I also want to look at the mcts and iats temperatures because that might be the issues too.

The last three logs I sent after I received REV2 had one the actions you asked for and I added one with the low rpm/ high load scenario. Can you work from that and the attachments I made here for the video?

The sound is exactly what Goose shows here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xga4KTH8xNU this demonstrates what I am hearing better. I can hear it 4k and under and if it is present above 4k I likely can not hear it in the cabin over the other noises.

I have plugs and IC with flaps still active, factory intake. Nevada 91. Let me know if you can work with the log already uploaded showing the conditions I hear the knock.

So here is the log, you can see were are logging all 6 cylinders for knock and the overall average as it's using average mode at this RPM. You can see KOM is 1.0. Spark is 15 to 16 degrees. the over knock correction is 2.6* meaning it's adding timing over the borderline base and each cylinder is either adding or subtracting to create the average. The ecu is Constantly doing this trying to keep the spark on the borderline of knock. I dug into the knock sensor thresholds and it looks like the nock sensor noise ( threshold for the background Nosie not the nock threshold) thresholds are higher on the 2025 which might explain why it's not registering the knock as it thinks it just background noise. SO lets try this I'm sending you a revision with those thresholds for noise lower. Also please log the stock tune under the same conditions I'll show that here as well.

Interesting. Wonder why they would raise 2025... Turbo model change? I mean nothing else really changed I thought.

New ecu new, turbos, different oem calibators on the dyno cell, new strategy all together who knows. I'm sure that they had their reasons or that's just how the calibration of the sensors was done. That's why I typically don't modify the sensor calibrations but making more sensitive should help.

Meh not really, what's crazy is seeing how many different ways ford chooses the slice the cake in terms of the logic that's available vs what and how it was used. One type of ecoboost will use a table one way, the next won't even use it all. Granted on the newer mg1cs036 and mg1cs055 they really standardized making it a heck of a lot easier tune the newer stuff. There was some really screwy stuff back in the day that would trigger limits that made no sense or act as limit without triggering any sources.

LOL. Guess they have to keep everyone guessing. Kinda like removing options and standard features mid model year...

Mine does the same thing every now and then, not really concerned about it though. My 6.4 Hemi Scat Pack was way worse on the weird engine noises.

I’m back on the factory tune. Zero audible knock.

For those who have had audible knock in your previous cars, careful with that. I put a rod through my Kenne Bell Mustang pushing it “just a bit more”.

So, what are you going to do now? You just paid $1K for a tuned vehicle, are you done with the tuning aspect? Just curious.

Well, it seems right now it's experiment and discovery time. Every file I've tried exhibits the same audible knock, regardless of which one I use. Adam is trying different scenarios. Even at very light throttle — I mean consistent-speed cruising — provided the incline is steep enough, it will knock. (I didn't get a log of this, unfortunately.)

The factory tune has zero audible knock, no matter how much I try to make it happen.

I don't want to end up with a file that's so neutered there are no appreciable gains — that would be a bummer.
