I've had a few weird issues today with my 2025 ST, and I'm wondering if someone here knows what it could be... Sorry in advance for the lengthy post.
I drove off this morning and noticed that my mirrors didn't unfold. I tried pressing the button to do it manually, but nothing happened. I then wanted to open the side window, so I could do it manually without getting out of the car, but the button for the power windows didn't respond. The rear windows did, but the front didn't. I then got hit with a blind spot & cross traffic fault in my dash, and when I went into the settings on my display to see what the setting was for the mirrors, but it was made unavailable. I could see it was on (blue switch thingie), but it was slightly darker than normal, and unable to select to turn off. I then started to toy a bit around to see what else wasn't working, and found that the user selector (the three buttons in the door) were unresponsive as well (though, about 30 minutes later it suddenly switched to another user without me asking for it at that time, so I'm guessing a delayed response?). Eventually, since I was about to run late, I got out of the car, manually unfolded the mirrors and drove off.
A few hours later, I got back into my car, and all issues were seemingly gone. However, another few hours, after about 30 minutes, I suddenly noticed the blind spot & cross traffic fault showing again, and this time nothing on the passenger side appeared to be working. For example, my (front) side window opened, but not the passenger side (weirdly enough, while I couldn't make it work from the driver's side, the passenger side button in the door did seem to work). Pressing the mirror fold button would work on my side, but not the passenger side. The user selection also didn't work again. When locking the car, the mirrors didn't fold automatically. However, when I just went to check on my car, the issues seemed gone again (but who knows for how long).
When I first got my car, I did do some coding, but nothing spectacular. Just the disabling of the horn when you get out of the car with the engine running, and I changed the DLRs from white to orange, for example. Other things that are attached to the electrical system are a dashcam with an external battery, installed shortly after getting my car back in October. And I installed the 4D Tech auto-start-stop eliminator about a month ago. I know someone else said on these forums they had issues with the 4D Tech eliminator, but I would think that if this eliminator (or the dashcam, or the coding, for that matter) was the cause, the issues would've been showing much earlier, and not about a month after installing? (though, if it is the eliminator, I should be able to return it before the end of the month, so suppose I need to find out quickly lol)
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Edit: I forgot to mention, the car had its last OTA update (TCU-25.2.8.5) on Jan 17, not sure the update has anything to do with it?
