I assume he means look into getting an alternator from a 2020 Explorer Police Interceptor Unit (PIU). This alternator may have a higher electrical output to run all the accessory crap that a PIU has.

Very little difference with a regular tire. Run flats are always firmer but I don’t have a spare so I made the change.

ECM cover prototype #1 test fit. Gonna change a few measurements tomorrow and make #2.
No screws or bolts, attaches using the oem push pins for the wiring harness on both sides.
I drew this up months ago and forgot about it until I stumbled across the file on my laptop today. Needs a few adjustments…should have the final version done tomorrow at lunch. B63AEB99-8279-468D-8A8D-5EB07E4D8078.jpeg 82DB1BF3-EB24-48A0-99A5-4A5A762818B8.jpeg

Heat buildup a risk? How about stamping some louvers on it?

Not at all. There’s still plenty of room under it for the extremely minimal airflow under the hood as it is. My IR gun shows everything metal under the hood at the same temp after an hour or so of driving…it’s not like it’s cooler than the things around it.

Just joined and within 10 minutes looking for builds I stumbled onto yours. Thing looks dope. And thank you for removing those god awful looking front brakes. Do you have pics of the updated rear brakes?
