Transmission Slip?

Hey there,
So l've had my 2025 ST for about 9 months now, and I'm noticing what feels like the transmission is slipping when I accelerate from a full stop. When I step on the gas, there seems to be a fraction of a second before the front wheels get power. I don't recall this happening in the first few months I had it. I had chalked it up to just slippery winter driving conditions, but now that the snow is going and the roads are dry, it's still doing it. Does it normally take a half second for the front wheels to 'engage'? Anyone else experiencing this?

I must say, aside from this minor annoyance, it's been a fantastic vehicle to drive this winter!

I get a hesitation when I'm accelerating while turning the wheel, I don't think it's a slip but it feels like the power isn't catching.

Are you sure you’re just not feeling turbo lag? The front wheels are technically always engaged, these are technically full time AWD cars.

Not sure, my EXP is AWD, maybe that's a thing with AWD vehicles.

I know, that when doing runs for the tuner, what you would perceive as a tranmission slip is my 4 tires slipping on the asphalt due to power lol.

No WOT, just normal acceleration. Doesn't do it from a roll...only a full stop.
Fraction of a second...maybe a foot of travel and it's gone. Definitely not turbo lag, that's completely different to what I feel.

I suspect from the regularity with which it happens that it's completely normal. If it only did this once in a while, I'd be more concerned.

Definitely not a turbo lag feel...that's completely different.
I agree that they're normally AWD, but when I swapped the winter wheels for the summers, the front turned easily when jacked up...the rears did not. Must be part of the traction management system that only engages front when needed? Completely opposite to my Escape Titanium/AWD...where the fronts were fixed, and the rears were allowed to spin.
