This started very recently. Slowly pulling out of my driveway, I get a rhythmic tick that gets slower and faster as speed changes. I have inspected the front wheel and brake several times and I cannot find anything that would touch the rotor including the splash shield. It does not tick when the car is on jack stands and I spin the hub.

I have had superforged brakes on for about two years with no clicking. I have 38k miles now. Any thoughts or anybody had similar. The only thing I can think of is a CV joint going bad. Don’t really want to visit deal less I have to but I have ford extended warranty.

Well, I have EXACTLY the same thing all of a sudden, but from my front right area. The dealer strung me along for a week and said they didn't hear it. Or didn't identify it. I also pulled the wheel off and spun it and everything, and still couldn't see anything. I had the CV replaced within the last 6 months or so.

Just following up on this.

I jacked it up and spun the tire and no ticking. I looked at the brake shield as I have superforged brakes. It looked like I had at least 1/8 - 1/4 inch clearance all around. Pulled on an area that looked close. Put the wheels on and it still ticked.

Took off the tire again and bent the rotor shield so it was a half an inch from the rotor. Put the wheel back on and went for a test drive and no ticking.

Strange thing is I put the brake kit on over two years ago and only now did it start ticking. Rotor still appears centered in the pads and I have very little pad wear. Strange but I thought I would pass the info along.
