Pics in thread above. Must sound pretty good! It’s a slippery slope. Start off small then project grows and grows. On this car I knew what I wanted and actually bought all the gear while I was waiting for my ordered ST.

Soundproofing makes a HUGE difference. I’ve completely emptied the interior of probably 7 new cars for soundproofing.

Dam so you are a sound proofing expert. All this was my first car in 20 years! I knew from reading alot what speakers I wanted , I got all audio frog, Then most didnt fit so changed the location alittle, I put the GB10's up in the corner of the door right by the dash. ,The gb25's were moved up alittle on the door and the gb60"s fit ...Then while i had the car gutted I ran new speaker wire for all of them, A week later I saw a few experts on you tube talking about speaker wire and the stock wire works fine. Unless you were in comps there was no need to change them. Yea after I ran all new wires through the front doors ! My sub is a gb 12D4 . So i bought all this b4 I started . I still had no idea where to put my sub...Thats when the guy helping me on this site said it would be cool to put a front firing sub between the seats. So I wanted more storage anyway so I built this thing.. I have never tuned a dsp b4 and was lost so Bannier sent me his settings in his truck to get me close. He has the blackbird dsp too so we thought it may get me close. He is an engineer so he had a bunch of knowledge.. So I still dont know how to tune a sterio because his settings sounded really good , suprising , But I would love to either get it tuned or take it to be tuned , I;m in NJ ..It sucks cause I know I can get more out of it and he even said I need to tune it to really see what it can do ... I have a mic and all the stuff to do it .. But my next project is that shit screen they put in ! I'd love to find a lincoln screen .. from all the pics I see it looks clearer and alot better then the st screen, But I am watching the new screen filles that the guys at FMods came out with to see how that goes...I checked out your work on the sub man that came out good ! Sweet job especially for never doing it ! Its crazy how you get all proud of doing crap when you haave no idea what your doing ! haha

Very nice! Love the storage. I did similar but mine is a complete lift up storage area from lift gate to back of second row that will fit rifles and my amps are where the spare tire was. It also has a stealth key lock. I put a JL Audio TW5v2 13” sub in the oem spot in a custom fiberglass box I made for the oem location.

Love seeing work others have done.

Crusing68 , I think I saw what you did on another post while back, I know this is old, but I remember you saying it had to fit ur shotguns. I took what you did and changed it around to what I needed.I gutted the whole car to sound proof and when the back was completely out I just started throwing in some plastic wood 2x8's and looking at them , then went on an angle so when u opened the hatch it wasnt real high for the wife !! But .... Wishh i would have gone on less of an angle... So the sub had to have its own enclosure so I had room on both sides of the sub for maybe 14x 14x 10 deep , something like that and made them little boxes for starage/ roadies ect..!! then made the rest a storage and put the door for the spare back in as low as it wouldd go . But I really think it was u that I got my idea from..

Glad I could help. Shotguns only fit diagonally in mine. I’ve redone a few projects that didn’t work out as planned but I’m good at learning from my mistakes

Just realized I missed your post.

Yes, tough to find ultimate locations for different speakers. I like your sub idea. Tuning is a whole nother animal. More of an art if you asked me. I have an RTA with mic so I tuned mine to the best of my amateur abilities. I literally spent days trying to dial things in. I’m sure a pro could improve. I was pretty happy with my self help improvement so I quit there.

And yes, wires are overkill…..but I ran new wires anyhow lol
